    joining the club

it is pretty sad... I normally run at 3.5mb on a 64gb grw file and I just have to let the machine run and not run much of anything else and pray someday it will get done.
I am just surprised that i can play the game without it timing out.... I guess that would really piss people off and might effect the ubisoft bottom line.

    I'm having the same problem.

When i want to download Wildlands it starts at 7.1mb/s after a while it drops to 0. After a couple of minutes it goes back up. And this story keeps repeating itself.
Steam has no problems. Origin has no problems (also suprising).

    New player, already disappointed

    Same problem.
Steam usage of 250mbit/s ISP: 25MByte/s
UPlay usage: 7.5MBytes a top, after 5-10 minutes drop to 400kbytes/s.
If I press pause / download for 2-3 times it helps for another 5-10 minutes, then again transfer rate drops to half and more.

    Uplay installer taking forever

I can't even get the UPLAY installer to download quickly. It's estimated to take over an hour for a 69.4MB. Is ubisoft using a dial-up connection here?

    this barely helps

close everything you have and run the client on administrator i had an average of 500kb/s and now have 12mb/s its not the greatest and ubisoft has to fix this **** but if you've landed on this page and want some advice this is may hopefully help your issue.

Hey guys, if you are experiencing this issue, please try these steps and see if they help. If they do not, please create a ticket.

    Yeah, none of that works.

I have a 350mb connection that should pull down 30-40mb/s. It will hit 20 for maybe 2 minutes and then goes down to about 500kb/s, often spending minutes at 0kb/s. I have been trying to download Wildlands for a week, my connection should get it in 20 mins.

I'm not going to buy anymore games through uplay if I cant actually download them.

An anecdotal fix for this is restarting your pc over and over again. I get max speed for maybe 2 minutes every time I fresh boot my pc, then it goes down to 500kb/s

.I cant believe its come to me sat here repeatedly restarting my pc to download a game.

    Fixed it!

I was installing on to a secondary drive, Either uplay doesn't like doing that, or the drive is having issues. Not sure if my problem is actually the same as everyone elses.

I take bake the vitriol I spewed at Uplay, seems this was a different issue in my case.
