If unblockable attacks could interrupt Shugoki that'd be neat and maybe a stronger audio que for his back breaker grab. I think that would be a balanced change.

You can kill Shugoki by guard breaking him whenever his hyper armor goes up. The guard break will clear it out. If you keep his hyper armor down, he becomes a trash class.

    Yes, the Shugoki is broken...

Is the new character to play, is so broken the global GB, but the Shugoki is the worst, if you use him are half imparable using GB...

I was able to kill many times with my Orochi lv1 practice to the Shugoki. But that character is broken, it is almost impossible to interrupt his GB, and besides, he can recover quickly, his attacks interrupt mine unstoppable by his armor, which regenerates very quickly considering that after the first blow the second must be executed, but not , Regenerates and for the unstoppable. Wtf ...
When you use it yourself it is immortal, the only way for me to interrupt my gb is not to press the second button or to kill me simply stop playing. He is broken.

I was picked up, snapped like a twig for 90% of my hp and now I have cancer. Please kill me now.

Except this is outright a lie? Peacekeeper counters Shugoki HARD. Like he literally MELTS IN SECONDS to Peacekeepers who break his passive (uninterruptible stance) then go into any chain that can confirm. Also, there are lots of 'counters' in For Honor, tons of people have weak matchups. For example Orochi is extremely weak against Warlord.

Also you're arguing that easily one of the weakest classes in the game struggles against a class that is designed to beat it? I mean, sure.

Once deactivated, he takes bonus damage that reduces his health pool DRAMATICALLY. In addition, he is now capable of being staggered. This is why he gets literally shredded to pieces in seconds by classes like Orochi and Peacekeeper.

Furthermore, his self heal is reliant on the single most telegraphed move in the entire game. Just dodge it, and it punishes him severely by chunking his health. Also he has no attack chains that confirm into each other, and on top of that he only has two attack chains total.

All of this compounded on him being the slowest character in the entire game, and his range isn't that great either. Not to mention guard breaks are extremely powerful right now, so deactivating his uninterruptible stance is the easiest thing of all time, and following that you just guard break into a confirmed heavy because he's too slow to do anything else. He'll drop quick.

edit for clarity; I think the instakill at critical health should be removed from the game, any instakill in any game is stupid, but the hero is really far from overpowered if you just researched his kit and how he works.
    I'm quoting this.

After playing Shugoki a while. He's in a REALLY rough spot right now. Sure at lower levels you just destroy noobs that don't understand your armor. but once they DO figure out that. (Also they learn how to side dodge. because that ignores like every thing else) Shugoki is in a pretty wild ride. Considering your dodge is garbage, Any shieldbash, charges, jumping attacks. (The PK & Orochi have 2 hit combo initiation attacks) WILL ALWAYS HIT if you try to dodge.

Shugoki also has NO gap closers besides his extremely clumsy charge which just pushes enemies to the side and uses 75% of his stamina.

The rough thing about Shugoki vs every other class is that every other class has an extremely high skill cap. With Shugoki, after you learn your few little tricks. THAT'S IT.

Honestly I would take ANY gapclosers over that stupid 1 hug KO mechanic. Or reliable light attacks... lol

The extra damage is ridiculous. I'm getting hit with light attacks in the upper 20s and 30s. Without armor, Shugoki is basically a much slower, softer, more predictable raider with less stamina. If there is more than one enemy, he's almost useless.

Edit: I'm not sure what kind of damage modifiers bots get, but a raider top heavy hit for 68 and a berserker hit for 70. That would make Shugoki about as durable as an assassin if he gets caught by a combo.

That said, the home run swing is easily the most satisfying thing in the entire game.

I wonder how many of the people complaining about the Shugoki have actually tried playing him?

I've spent a fair bit of time using him now, and he's hard to do well with. Berserkers, Orochi and Peacekeepers and Wardens are hard to deal with. The sheer speed their attacks come out at make life very difficult for the Shugoki to even start attacking. Sure his hug is strong, but if you are an assassin class you should easily be able to dodge it. Besides the "pretty rubbish unless on a ledge map" bullrush it is very difficult to close to hitting range with Nobushi and Valkyrie and even then you use most of your stamina and they're on their feet again before you can put any damage in.The shield charge/headbutt from Conq and Warlord are undodgeable with Shugoki..

Add this to a pretty limited moveset and he's definitely not OP.

+1 to the home run swing. Its too much fun if you can pull it off.

So I'm a warden, I fight this Shugouki for the 6th time 1 on 1 had results on both sides of the spectrum.
in this last battle I severely manhandle him down to 1 bar we both back off do an emote and then I go in for the kill.
I have FULL HEALTH (or maybe about 90%).
Shugoki does the back breaker I think okay that's gonna hurt a bit I estimate half my health gone.
    instead I am ONE SHOT.

This should not happen I like the idea of the ability doing more damage depending on your current health but please make it a bit more consistent then this... Nobody likes to get one shot because of 1 mistake in a fight that was extremely one sided...

That's the only problem I have with his moveset.

I'm not going to lie that last fight was just like the Red Viper vs The Mountain.
