In the reddit For Honor Samurai sub reddit, a user by the name of banneriron has come up with a great idea: Using the name of ancient samurai clans, let's organize ourselves into clans. We can use this for coordinated attack/defend orders, emblems, and whatever else we can nerd out on lol
This can really help big time, I'll just copy and paste my post on it:
Running with what /u/banneriron suggested https://www.reddit.com/r/ForHonorSam...ting_up_clans/ , here is info on real life samurai clans from history so we can structure ourselves into clans. These clans, as of now, would be divided among time zones so our faction can be a hot blade cutting through the other factions. We'd be able to attack certain zones on the map in an organized manner. Let's get this going!
Some of these clans actually have descriptions of other emblems they used, you can find them in their respective wiki pages. And there is no Hattori Clan because there wasn't actually a Hattori samurai clan, and the Ikko-Ikko were actually Ninjas..not sure if that matters to anyone.
First, here's a youtube video with various clans and their emblems: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IGxedBPmdy8

As /u/banneriron suggested and /u/amornarthakij added to in his original post The Samurai Faction would be separated by time zone, with each time zone having the same list of clans. Let's say Otomo clans, Takega clans, and Date clans are all tasked with defending all fronts against Vikings whenever they are logged on. And Uegui clans, Oda clans, etc would be tasked with attacking all fronts against Vikings. In areas where we have a clear advantage they'd be able to do as they like as long as it helps an obvious need.
Maybe with 1-2 hours left in a turn we can have an announcement in the Samurai sub letting the clans know what to do or we can set up some type of notification system.
Called myself a Takeda the moment I bought the game. In literal fact I have reformed the Takeda clan in real life because all their leaders and family members have passed on. If anyone wants in or wishes to align with my clan hit up TNL WarMonger J on Xbox Live. Takeda forever, and always a Samurai.
Not sure how the current descendants of the clans would feel about some geeks using their family name for gaming purposes. I mean, people already sell merch on eBay using the mons of the clans without permission...Not saying this is not a great idea. Definitely better than the chaos we've been squirming in with current tactics. Is there an official list of times for clans set up or is it still a work in progress? I am in US Central time (16:24 at the time of this edit).
And I like how the Meme Knights already infected the subreddit.
