So this might be a game design decision and I understand that geyser fountains might be very hot and it would hurt a lot, but is it really supposed to kill by a slight touch? Am I the only one who finds this breaking the suspension of disbelief?
I find it ok when a player instantly dies from a cliff fall or something like that, but water?
Wouldn't it be more believable if it would just hurt a lot or would be something like heavy damage over time?
Falling into a river from a tiny bridge also looks funny, but that would be a lot harder to solve rather than instant kill from geyser that vanishes in a second.
What do you guys think?
But you know what a geysir is and how hot the water is that comes up?
It is overcritial steam and usually above 100 degrees celsius hot. The protains in your body clot @ apr. 45 degrees. Is such a hot stream gets you, you can be sure, that you are instantly killed. you would certainly not be able to do something after that. It would cook you inside your armor/cloths.
