I had an issue with the gates on the japanese dominion map. I let the trap fall down on someone but it didnt kill him but only traped him.
in the video at 4:20 you will see me going to the lever and hit it in time but it just traped him instead of killing.

Yea, I had the same thing yesterday. I also think it should be instant when you pull the lever.
