Fine tuning
So, the beta ended last night and here are some suggestions. No balancing specific suggestions though, just some kind of fine tuning:
1.) Spectator Mode: In spectator mode I want to see the enemie's health bar and their guard, just like the one who is being spectated would see the opponent.
2.) Animation bug: Every time I perform an exection with Peacekeeper (X or Y), she does like 2 steps of her running animation on the spot, even though I am not moving after the execution, which looks kind of weird. The same happens after the RB+RT combo.
3.) Practice mode: I'd like to see a practice mode in which I can try to counter different moves from bot opponents. Just like in the tutorial, where I have to guardbreak, counter-guardbreak etc against the bots. But I'd like to give these bots the command to do a specific move, so I can try out different tactics against this one specific move.
4.) Leaving the game: If my opponent ragequits (Alt+F4) during the hero selection screen and gets replaced by a bot, I am forced to start the game before I can quit as well. The option to return to the World map is greyed out. I'd like to have the option to leave the game as well in the hero selection screen, just to fasten things up and not have to watch the loading screen.
5.) Hold the Button: I don't get why I need to hold down the "A" button for 1 second in the menus in order to select a gamemode, a hero, etc. This "feature" is present in every Ubisoft game and it really annoys me. I just want to press the "A" button ONCE. I'd love to see an option to turn this off.
6.) Game invite: Sometimes after playing some 1v1 duels against the same player, I'd like to invite him to a 2v2 Brawl without adding him to my friends list.
7.) Communication: An indicator would be useful if my opponent is typing something in the chat. Maybe like a little speech bubble above the head? Sometimes I'm not sure whether I can attack my opponent or not, if we're having a small conversation in between duels. Mostly I stop attacking if my opponent stops locking on to me, and I have to rely on my opponent to stop attacking as well if I don't lock on to him. It work's most of the time, but still... an indicator could be useful.
8.) Game mode: There is 1v1, 2v2 and 4v4. Why not 3v3? I played the beta together with two friends. All three of us don't like Dominion and Deathmatch. We'd like to see a simple 3v3 mode without powerups or capturing points etc.
9.) Matchmaking: It's always frustrating if I try a new hero and then have to fight against someone who has Reputation 1 or 2 already with his hero. I know that getting defeated helps understanding the mechanics and helps learning the new hero... but it's still kinda frustrating to get "rekt" by someone who has so much more experience with his hero. Maybe it would be a good idea to choose the hero BEFORE I get matched with the opponent, and the matchmaking system tries to find an opponent who is just as experienced with his hero as I am?
10.) Emotes: Give emotes a 3sec cooldown. Air humping just looks ridiculous.
11.) Matchmaking: If a player leaves after a match and all other players agree for a rematch, the last spot should be filled with a new player.
And last but not least:
12.) Customization: If Ubisoft adds more customization options in the future, I sure hope that they will be lore-friendly. I'm praying that I won't have to see pink weapon skins and funny face masks with sunglasses and bunny ears. I don't want to have a mess in this game like it's in Rainbow Six Siege...
