So, I have now mastered the techniques of the Katana, and ive greatly improved my reaction times in this game, But was it worth it?
I just have to start things of by saying -Holy.. ****- this game made me feel like i felt when started playing Counter strike again, frustrated and extremely salty for not being able to do **** against players that had more hours in to the game then me. But with that said. It didn't take long before i also started cutting down people left and right.
Now, lets get to it then. Lets address the elephant in the room.
This game, is by no means ready to be released in this current status. I have never in my time playing games been this frustrated by so much **** not working correctly.
I believe i played at least a hundred rounds in this game, and i think i managed to finish about half of them. if not less. This peer-to-peer **** is driving EVERYONE mad and it has to be removed instantly, You guys tried it with Rainbow six Seige and it didn't work, so why in the love of the air we breath, would it work now?.
Im sitting here in Sweden, in my cozy apartment with my pretty decent internet, trying to survive the cold freaking weather outside. I see this game that ive had my little eye on for a while now suddenly go into Open Beta.. i almost shat my self, i got so exited i actually lost my voice. (Actually lost it, but thats because i got sick) And im just sitting here like it was my birthday with perky nipples and a bottle of cough medicine expecting to try out a game ive for so long been dreaming about to play.
I launch the game up and gets greeted by some awesome cinematic scenes and some great visualizations. AND A BIG F----- RED "NAT" TEXT saying that my internet connection to the servers will not freaking work for the next 40 minutes because i live in such a wasteland like Sweden.
But all that aside now for a minute, the red "NAT" text goes yellow and i can finally search for some games. I start out playing with my friend and practicing, no problem what so ever, Seems fine and we both are swinging our swords like we are waving off some bees that are attacking our grandmothers.
We go into multiplayer, Deathmatch, and we think we are about to be greeted with the same level of players as we are. Ohh boy we werent even this wrong when we tried to bet on a horse named Slowpoke.
And dont mind you its not ONLY because we honestly couldn't hit a barn door even if we +accidentally got teleported into it. but the constant lag made it impossible to predict any moves for the enemies. and ho-ly-**** did i cry everytime a peacekeeper came even remotely in my line of sight. It felt like the Peacekeeper is a snake and im a little mouse with 2 broken backlegs and a small sign that says: "Free meal, watch out for the bones, could be sharp" (The bones in this scenario is my sword, an annoyense but not deadly).
Now the connection problem is one thing, but the game mechanics is on a total different level of.. ****ed up and good?.
Look, i work a full time job and i do not have time to get good at a game, not good enough to actually play the game super seriously and try to win prices and stuff. Only good enough to make me feel good when playing the game because i sliced that axe through that guy so hard it made his head pop off like a lid from a Pringles can. Lets just say its satisfying AF. But that doesn't mean this game comes without its problems, But for that im going to let the rest of the community speak out because ive read some of the forum posts on here and ive agreed so a lot of things when it comes to champion comparison and overall buggy stuff when it comes to the visualization of the dodge meter and so forth, but for me, it works. (But for A LOT of others, its not up to par what so ever)
The only thing i know as a casual gamer is that, i will buy this game IF.. they fix dedicated servers. That would make my wiener go pee pee uncontrollable and i would spend hours upon hours trying to get my cheese in bedded finger prints off my computer mouse because obviously when you start playing a new, Good, Somewhat competitive game.. you'll have to have some kind of cheesy goodness to calm your ****ing nerves because a 10 year old kid with too much attitude will just wreck you and then continue to insult your mother.
Well anyway. i really do hope this game turns out for the better, and that they listen to their community.
For now, i thank ubisoft and the team that created this game for a GREAT weekend. im home sick and this made it a hell of a ton better.

TL;DR:
This game actually made me feel involved and angry for not being good at it. which is a good thing.
This game is NOT ready to be released yet, not until they fix their servers and remove the PEER-To-PEER **** they got going on
I made a bad mistake rooting for a horse named Slowpoke (In swedish it was: "Segpelle" and the closest comparison i could make was either that or "SlowPelle" and it doesnt sound as funny)
I will not go into details about the combat because i do not have the time to actually sit down and think about stuff like that. I found it very difficult to play some classes against other classes and Very often when you tried to dodge an attack the guard hud didn't show the correct side the attacks were coming from
Thanks to Ubisoft and the "For Honor" team for a great weekend and hopes for the best and good luck with their game, i will buy it when they release real servers.
