I've been having a recurring problem where I will randomly disconnect from certain games after a few minutes (Dark Souls 3 and For Honor namely). My internet is usually quite fast, and when I connect to mostly any other game, or when I play this game on a VPN (Virtual Private Network (such as hotspot shield or windscribe)), I have no issues. When using the same computer on my home router with nothing else changed, I can connect fine though, even without the VPN. the word NAT on the top of my screen also appears red without a VPN, and green / orange with it, if that information helps.
Does anyone know how I would fix this without using a VPN? And if using the VPN is the only fix, how do I tell how much it's affecting my ping? I'd rather not play the game if I can't play it without lag, and I really want to play this awesome game. Can I get some help please?
