In the open beta faction war the knights won just because they won the last round. I think winning the war should be determined by overall performance and not the last round as both the samurai and Viking were controlling more territories most of the war.

IMO, your are probably right. We do not want to see which faction actually won at this point of time, but which faction reigned during war. Or there could just be prices for the faction holding the longest reign of the entire war and also for the one reigning at the end of war..
