Been playing Skillpower build since launch, hoping 1 day the Pulse Turret will be viable as thats what attracted me to the game the automated turret and rpg elements allowing me to spec purely into magic, i mean Skillpower for the most powerful scary turret at the cost of everything else.
In 1.3 SP was awesome but required SmartCover and StickyBomb was too easy.
In 1.4 Seeker Mines where awesome yet unweildy and buggy as. Flame Turret was great but too tanky.
In 1.6 SP scaling sound amazing but all offensive skills have been nerfed into the ground?

Absolutely not, only viable build for SP now is a min max Tacticians with 400K+ SP and Skill Haste rolled on everything possible. Even then have fun with you 12-14 second CD no damage Seekers, your 30+ second CD BFB, your flimsy Turrets that get killed before they can fully deploy half the time, and your heals that are still on 15-20 second CD's.

I tried arguing the same thing, but PvP whiners always get there way, you go full Electronics in 1.6 you get...
Long a** CD's
Weak sauce damage dealing abilities that are either super easy to avoid (a la BFB delayed explosions) or die instantly (400K SP Turrets don't even have 200K HP)
Reduced Toughness compared to other builds
Forced to stack only Skill Haste
sh** DPS that doesn't even allow you to face trade with Veteran tier enemies
Extremely heavy handed nerfs stacked ontop of each other.
I am a PvPer btw.
So im at 480k SP at max Tacticians...
At death instantly now... As a reward for playing such a high risk playstyle where no mistakes can be made or dead...
I get...
Low Dmg Skills...
Highest Cooldowns...
Die even faster than 1.5...
Where is the logic?
Lets clear this up, the nerf on skills isn't because of PvP or PvE, it's because the whole basis is broken. Why do DPS builds and Tanks get a decent amount of Skill Power? Skills should only be available to Skill builds OR skills are unlocked depending on the amount of SP depending on how strong they are in terms of offense or defence, for example stun sticky bomb would be available but an explosive sticky would be higher up the requirement list.
It's honestly absolutely ludicrous that skills are available so easily for DPS and Tank builds.
Sorry, but let me correct you. Nerf on skill builds came from complaints by PvP players whose cookie-cutter AB builds were dominating the DZ, but then they met squads with skill builds and they went crying to their mommies that they got their a$$es whooped. Plain and simple. How dare they use a build that can counter the almighty Alpha Bridge, right?
