How big is the map in KM? | Forums

No little lady, we're not talking about the country of Bolivia. If I wanted to know that I'd google the damn country. I'm talking about the square km of the full map in the fiction/non-fiction area of Bolivia. Like I stated before, the one province given to us in the closed beta was 24km x 24km= 576km squared. I wanted to know if anyone found the squared km of the full map yet or have a source that states it.

Can you explain your workings a bit more S3mp3r. Your figure seems closer to the total map size that a few people have calculated rather than just for Itacua.

I drove from the bottom right corner of Itacua to top middle of the map in a 4x4 SUV and it took me around 5 mins and looking at the wildlands map as a whole it looks like maybe 4 provinces from south to north in a straight line so you probably looking at around 20mins to half hour maybe taking the terrain into account

GTA V you could do south to north in 7mins but that was on the highway in a sports car with no real terrain to worry about so, but i guess till we get the full release and drive the map from 1 end to the other its all just speculation!

Acruelly, the closed beta map is 24 x 24 km = 576 km²

During beta, was standing in Itacua, and placed a waypoint to the each direction from where I were, added North/South together, and East/West, and got exactly 24 km each.

In the stats of the game i don't remember where , says i uncovered 5% ( the beta part ) so i guess the all map is huge. So if
5% = 576 km²
100% = 11520 km² ??!!

The whole map is 576 km², not 5%. Have a look at the rest of the thread and the video that was posted.

I don't know for the 576km² BUT in the stats menu i saw that i uncovered 5% (after playing few hours ) of the map so the all beta part which mean whatever is the size of the beta part, this represent 5 % of the entire map !

Yep, that's right, Itacúa is 5% and is 1 of 21 provinces so that makes sense.
