Alright, so... I don't know if this has been posted before but it's no secret that there is a certain portion of this community that is an aggressive toxic malignant tumor who do nothing but bash players for wanting to have fun and enjoy the game, who want to help to create a game in an image that they would enjoy by playing these betas.
So I don't know about everyone else but a very good share of games I went into vs other players the first words out of someones mouth was F*CK you F*GS, CU*TS, G*Y R*TARDS.. and every other mean thing you can think of. Then will proceed to use some cancerous playstyle, abuse some balancing issue, throw honor out the window, t-bag, or are just plain better by LEAGUES (because this game's match making system in terms of skill levels is a joke). You probably don't want to queue up again sometimes. After a couple of particularly cancery games I was furious, I'll admit it. So my friends and I would rather play against bots than play against the tumor boy brigade portion of this community. (And that is ALL I get paired against, takes 10 minutes to find a match just to run into tumor boys screeching and slamming their heads against the walls before they noticed we've walked into the room and they descend upon us like starving howler monkey lions.)
So now that I've painted kind of a very expedient freehand portrait of a situation, trying not to take 8 million years of your lives or make a huuuggge wall of text here. Some of us loathe the player vs player. While we do have bots games we can't really customize options like difficulty and quality of life things like that. For the longest time we were fighting lvl 1 and 2 bots and it was just no fun at all because they were so easy. Now after fighting some rather challenging players even lvl 3 are just a joke, even in a 2v1. What follows will be my suggestion finally.
Some of us like having our backs against the wall and being the underdog while having a fun game where we don't have to obey some sort of META philosophy and just spam certain combos/movesets to win. Fighting bots can be really fun, punishing, rewarding, and overall can feel really fluid even to pretty good players. Frankly, when you have 4 friends or good players the bots are just wayy to easy. I was even being a troll playing with my brother, and just choo choo training and giving all his enemies revenge as a warlord and he was still slaughtering them. I'd like to suggest adding more customizable options to matchmaking options and maybe even another variant of current gamemodes. Primarily what I would like are 4 player vs 8 AI gamemodes. I'd like this to be in both dominion and elimination. Why not let us challenge ourselves and have more fun. You wouldn't really need to up the rewards for this as far as loot and xp goes as many players who would be interested in this would probably be doing it for fun.
And I would like to hit again on the need for the customizable options in matchmaking. Certain members of the community have already made quite a name for themselves regarding their skill and many don't want to play with these people. Would you keep playing against somebody you know you're going to lose against. No you play to have fun and win. This is doubly true for those who don't have all day to sit around playing games, people who actually have to work, school, or take care of family, likely a combination of these. People want to unwind and play for fun not jump into a League of Legends style cancer pool of a player base.
Give us the ability to customize our game options in multiplayer. Lots of us like COOP, NOT player vs player. This is nothing against those who do enjoy player vs player. More power to you if that's your thing but sometimes its fun to just fight the computer. We need to abandon this arbitrary idea of strict 4v4 2v2 gameplay. Sometimes I have 3 friends playing and we want a 3v3 game against bots and still get rewards. When I have really good people maybe we want to test out skill in a 4v8 or a 3v6. GIVE US CHOICE. Many of us can craft our own fun experiences if you merely give us the toys to play with.
Alright that's my wall of text that ended up being much larger than I anticipated. Please feel free to build upon this and shape this into something that can be added into the game at some point. I'm well aware that the changes that can be made to the game at this point before launch are minimal at best but this is something that I believe the game will benefit from in the long run when the multiplayer pool dries up and there's nothing left but insanely good people who are frankly no fun to play with. That is an inherent weakness of this type of game. This game has potential to be even more than it already is; help it to maximize it. I'd appreciate if you guys could keep this post in sight and build upon it, maybe the devs will notice it and at the very least get some inspirational ideas out of it amongst all the other posts screaming at them.
PS. I have nothing against the community at large. Most people here are actually intelligent reasonable people who have their own ideas for what this game should be and not the malignant tumors that I referred to earlier :P. The people who are... well they know who they are.
TLDR; give us more options to customize in our matchmaking and in terms of how many opponents we want to fight. ie. 3v3, 3v6 4v8, etc... This is primarily focused towards PVE not PVP but hey maybe there are some masochists out there.
