During the last 2 days of the Open Beta I was faced with extremely long queue times, especially when playing with freinds. Every time we queued, with the servers showing high population, it would take a few minutes to find a group. Sometimes it would even time out and make us reque. Most of the time it would eventually find a match at the "All Skill Levels" skill requirement, which led to a lot of extremely unbalanced matches (Going both ways). I would say in my last 2 days of playing I found a match on the "Strict" skill requirement 1 out of every 8 matches I played with friends.

As a group I had looooong queues for dominion, but queue times for elim were pretty quick (minute or two at most). I'm only guessing here, but because my group did a lot of dominion solo we all had different skill levels so it took a while to make a match (and some turned out to be unbalanced). In elim we only ever queued as a group, so we were all the same mmr so no issues.

That scenario apply to you as well?

Yes, I was usually a lot better than most of the other players I grouped with, but the queued usually dropped us in a match with all people at his skill level, or all people at my skill level. There were no even matches when I played with freinds.
