Using x360ce makes EAC kick you. I can't use my controller in For Honor.

x360ce is a program that allows you to use your controller in games where it otherwise wouldn't be recognized, I use this program in countless games, but mainly fighting games and Dark Souls 1/2/3. The program makes a .dll file in your games directory, as to make the controller inputs actually work inside the game, I'm guessing this is why EAC kicks you.

I've seen posts on this before, but no fix and I've seen no posts from Ubi either. Hoping for a possible solution.

Also before people ask, yes I've tried SCP, doesn't work with my controller.

    Hello RavenDracule,

As you are using a 3rd party program which is creating a .dll file, this is indeed being prevented from running, this is purely on the Easyanticheat side as it is unable to determine the actual source of where the input is coming from.

Please note that we do have a list of controllers which are officially supported, with some that may work, but are not officially supported. This can be viewed via this link here.

    Thanks for the reply.

Since it's purely because of the .dll file, do you think it's possible to avoid this issue, with another 3rd party program that simply enables your controller in a different way, and doesn't create .dll files?

    Hey,

You are indeed free to try a different program, however, if you do run into issues then it is not something that we could officially support in this case.

Well, this is indeed a problem. I have a PS1 controller and together with an adapter and x360ce I am playing everything that emphazises the usage of a controller over the keyboard mouse combination (like Dark Souls 1-3, The Witcher 3, Castle Crashers and so on) with said controller.

At this point of time x360ce is the most commonly used program to use a controller of your choice in whatever game you want. Hence the x360ce program should better get on a white list in my opinion. For me this is also an important factor to take in for eventually buying the game. I really don't feel like buying another controller just for this one game (which already has a pretty heavy pricing, but that's some other topic). To me this is most likely a dev issue which should be solved on that end in order to please and enable those who use/rely on x360ce.
