Took a screenshot of my current gear:

Since you don't really know what you'll get from those premium boxes I tend to play according to what gear I get.
I got lucky upon hitting Reputation 2 with a good axe head. Although it lacks quite a lot in stam reduction which is heavily noticable.

I've noticed that the more you play and the better you get at reacting and adapting to the situation the less you need to rely on passive mitigation. I tend to block and/or counter most things and in such cases passive damage reduction is kind of redundant most of the time. On the flipside when I do manage to get in an opening and get a combo + that unblockable attack off it really hits hard! However, I'd recommend changing gear as often as possible and try to adapt to it in order to fully learn how all the stats work and how you can utilize them.

Regarding Revenge mode I've found that when I get outnumbered I go into full defense and only block until I get revenge, so for me it's more rewarding with Revenge defense and attack than actually Revenge gain, since I my playstyle makes it easy enough to gain revenge when outnumbered.

Most important is probably Exhaustion recovery, Stam regen and Stam cost reduction. If I start with a Reaping Charge, or that tackle to the ground I most of the time manage to get a heavy and maybe a light attack which I then chain into the unblockable. By that time I'm exhausted and need to play defensively. If I had more stam cost reduction on that head I'd probably be able to get a GB or another light attack in which might make a big difference depending on situation.

As someone above mentioned, Feat CD reduc is very valuable imo since I go with Mark of Death and Fury. Those two are fantastic, especially Fury when trying to chase down runners, since I use the passive for the first slot instead of the Sprint.

I think Block damage would be good for me, since the Raider is as slow as he is, if you don't get your timing down you're often blocked or parried.

Sorry for the messy post. I believe still that everything is based on your own playstyle and preference. I've noticed that the more I play the calmer, more defensive and calculating I play, which result in the availability to spec heavier into offense without risking going full glass-cannon.
