So after finally getting some good matches in I think I can comment on the state of the game from a probably low skill player's perspective.

For reference what I've played.

Closed Beta:
Conqueror- SO MUCH CONQUEROR

Open Beta:
Conq- not enjoying it as much
Raider- lil bit
Kensai- Really enjoying it atm
Nobushi- hate playing it
and a little bit of everything else.

So this beta I've gained a little bit of respect for how the classes play, I'm parrying more often, and I'm avoiding throwing people off ledges because I want to play out the duel (not that there's anything wrong with ledge throwing).

So I'm going to break this down into 4 categories state of the game, classes, modes and glitches.

State of the Game

-Connection seems more inconsistent, I've been dc'd and had dc's more in the last 6 hours than the entire closed beta.

-The game feels less responsive and consistent. Particularly changing attack directions and feinting seems a lot harder to do.
--Could be just me but I've seen a few other people complain about it as well

-Guardbreak counter seems a little harder as well
--again could be just me, my preempted counters have been about the same, my reactionary counters not so much

-Social features are nil, option to add people that you played against later would be nice, even if it's just a list of people you've played with recently
-- On the flip side reporting needs to be a thing, I've been called a ***got, ****, told to kys. Doesn't really effect me but toxicity is something they need to handle. Being mad every few game is fine but don't tell people to kys. (Note: there's a difference between criticism and toxicity)

-Matchmaking will often put you into games where you're just dead, start of the round, gone, really annoyign but not as annoying as getting into a round dead, as the enemy wins. Just not really a fun experience there.

-Sprinting still seems a little broken on lighter classes, especially because they can run out the clock if they gain an advantage against a team of heavier classes, honestly I'd be in favor of normalizing run speed and/or adding an overrun mechanic.

Classes

I'm probably a little biased in favor of the heavier classes.

Warden: Vanilla, seems fine, in the hands of a good player, really fun to play against.

Conqueror: A little on the weak side, in particular it's superior block heavy attacks seemed pretty much unnoticeable to me, both playing as and against. in duels he seems a little weak but in 2v1 and 1v2 he's probably the one I'd most like to have beside me. I did have a problem, not being able to dodge his charging shield crush against one guy though, it looked like it changed direction basically 90 degrees to hit me, may have been lag or me being an idiot though.

Peacekeeper: *incoming bias* still hate it, especially it's triple stab, still hate bleeds and it's speed. Especially as slower classes I had so much trouble against her. My earlier comment about counter guard breaks makes this especially frustrating. Every time I beat one it felt like they messed up, not me playing well.

Raider: I think he's fine, honestly playing as and against him, no problem, once I realized how he worked, the duels and fights weer fun, never felt cheesed or frustrated and never felt like I was winning because they played badly or losing because of the class instead of skill.

Warlord: Haven't played or versed enough to judge, although I must have been one of the few that didn't have that much problem with them in the closed beta, they were on the tugh side but I had mroe of a problem with the peacekeeper.

Berserker: Actually the most fun to fight, a good zerk is a whirlwind that keeps me me guard and looking to parry. A bad one is just destroyed, so I'd say a really good high skill class, though I'm not sure how they'd fair at a really high level, their attack chain seems like it just wouldn't happen.

Kensai: So much damage, so good to play, although his top finisher feint into side finisher didn't seem to be working for me, no matter how much I tried, which ties into my earlier comments about feints being a bit unresponsive this beta.

Nobushi: I actually don't have that much problem with them, they take skill to use but a good nobushi may be a little strong in upper play, unfortunately I don't think I'm skilled enough to actually judge it reliably.

Orochi: Similar to the nobushi and berserker, a bad one is destroyed a good one is scary, but I don't think I have the skill to judge it.

Modes

Duels: Still fun
Brawls: Still fun even with people crying "muh honor, duel duel"
Dominion: bleh, found it kinda boring in the last mode, intense in some matches but meh
Elimination: Actually really fun, I don't get people crying over the power ups with the exception of the shield power-up, I think it's too strong, if that was removed everything would be fine and dandy imo.

Glicthes

-Most of my glicthes were with the orders menu
-- Numerous times, one of the orders changed to I think spanish, the otehrs remained in english.
-- Squares and symbols for some orders happened occasionally

-Had this happen a couple of times and may just be the game state but I was holding block in a direction and normal attacks went through that block, as in just a zerker's light attacks going through. Next round, it was fine but still free round for the zerker.

-Matchmaking, get into game, game is full.... Never have I raged so much as when this happened 3 times in a row.

-Surprisingly nothing else, all the glitches I had in the closed beta are gone.

Conclusion/ tl;dr

Classes and game modes are mostly fine with a few small exceptions, glitches are relatively few and small but still need fixing. However the state of the game feels unfinished for a game 2 days out from release, especially the connection between players seems significantly worse than the closed beta. I may buy the game but I'm waiting until after the release to see if they fix up the issues.
