    Bullet drop?

So from what I have read some people are saying bullet drop is really bad and some people say it is not bad at all. Can someone who has actually played the game (specifically the campaign) answer a couple questions I have.
Can it be turned off? Via option or disabled in lower difficulties?
Does it effect all weapons or only sniper rifles?
If you can't turn it off is there a way to calculate the hold over on your optic? (displayed distances of enemies equal to a specific number of marks ie. 100 yards equal 1 dash on the scope) or is it all trial and error/guessing?

All guns have bullet drop. You just notice it more with a sniper rifle. It cannot be turned off. You don't really notice bullet drop unless you're enganging from 200+ yards.
You'll have to do some tiral and error to figure it out, but it's not that hard to do, just watch where the bullet impacts and adjust acordingly.

Set yourself up at the end of a field and practice shooting at distance using your range finder. The rebel airfield worked well in the beta as it had a heard of cattle that stretched 150m

The default sniper from the beta seemed to drop one point of aim per 100m exclusive of the first 100m. Using this method I managed to pull off a 540m kill.

There was a mission in the beta, where you had to rescue a pow from a large enemy compound with around 15 enemies. When scouting the area for tactical possibilities, I discovered a small plateau where I took position and marked the enemies. At the end of the compound, there was a small chapel with an enemy sniper on the roof. He probably would've seen any of his killed pals, so I decided to take him down first. He was at around 230m distance and I popped him with a suppressed sniper and had to aim a little bit above him.
The other thing I managed was popping the driver out of his convoy vehicle for a secondary mission at about 350m. The vehicle was moving toward me, but of course I had to aim quite a bit above him. Was a bit of a luckshot, but it worked nonethless.

So yes, ballistics play a palpable roll in your kills and give your longe-range shots even more of a sense of achievement!

Yeah, the hardest thing about doing long range shooting in the beta was that you were limited to an ACOG if you used the M40. It's fine, but there's not enough zoom for hitting targets that are farther out. However, one of my YT subscribers told me that they took one of the rifles from a dead UNIDAD sniper and was able to get a 600+ meter kill with it.

On a personal note I loved the sniping in Wildlands. It was extremely satisfying.

So you're telling me there is decent bullet physics in this game? Sign me up.

I found bullet drop in the beta to be rather exaggerated. 300m shots with the 416 required a fair bit more hold off than they should have.

While not a big problem by itself, this means that rifles are having their maximum range shaved down appreciably.

Coupled with this, bullet damage drops off sharply at anything past about 50 meters. This meant that my fight at 300+ meters required me to land 6-7 hits per enemy before they lie down, and take a break. I mean, I'm not the biggest fan of 5.56mm 'cause it's a little wimpy... but give it more credit than THAT.

This game is starting to sound worse and worse every day. I got nothing against bullet physics, if they are done right. The problem is there is very few games out there that do it right and still accessible to everyone. It doesn't help that most games zero the scope for 5 feet and that at 100 you have to hold 5 high. I guess this is a game I wait for a price drop or a good sale to pick up now.

In my experience, the suppressor affected the bullet drop of the snipers drastically more so than the assault rifles. The point of aim & point of impact did not seem to be affected by the suppressor for the assault rifles, but the sniper rifles it was night and day. The bullet drop seemed to be exaggerated a tad. The bullet velocity (particularly on the snipers with a suppressor mounted) could benefit from speeding up velocity.

The bullet drop is just to balance the game there is a range finder attachment and various scopes to improve range personally I didn't have a problem with the bullet drop, but the loss of damage at range was significant.
You can make most of your shots at 150 meters without being detected comfortably so there isn't any real need to be making 500 meter shots and potentially botching the mission unless it's a HVT.
