Personally speaking, I have a lower end and older PC rig to play on and it frustrates me very much to be kicked for having an average of 23-ish frames per second when I'm fairly certain I'm not lagging because of my connection. What I would like to see is more options for changing graphics quality. For instance:
Fire Quality-- Low, High, Extreme (Low would be basic colors and few spark particles)
Minions-- Low, High (Low would reduce textures and simplify animation while making color more prominent)
Atmosphere-- Low, Medium, High (High would be as it is now, likely, and Low would have many of the atmospheric particles like fire arrows flying through the battlefield or falling bricks be lowered or disabled completely to reduce visual noise and increase framerate for those that need/want it.

These are just a few suggestions coming from someone with a less than ideal PC and I am aware none of my word is law, just suggestion for what I would do to remedy and allow me to play more consistently.
