Imo this game is almost perfectly balanced. I mean, of course some heroes are going to have more health than others, other heroes are going to deal more damage than others, etc. Point is: all heroes are completely different from each other, and every single one of them has their unique trait. Or would the people rather have 12 heroes that all play or feel the same, with the exact same amount of health, stamina, speed, etc? No. It would be completely boring that way. What I love is not only learning the moves from the heroes I use, but learning the moves of all other heroes, specifically so I know how to counter them on battle. THAT is the Art of battle. Unfortunately, not everyone has the patience to learn those things or have the skill of predicting the attack pattern of their opponent. Therefore, they are easily beaten by skilled players and then immeadiately claim that said hero who beat them is "op".
If any changes or balancing is going to be made, I suggest to you guys, the For Honor's development team (or whoever handles those things), to do your own meticulous research of the allegations of many of the people here. Don't just do the changes because a hundred people said the same thing on the forums. Experiment yourselfs with every hero and determine out of your own account if any hero needs any balancing. I've seen some games of recent years that have started off great but as soon as they started nerfing everything just because a couple customers said something those games declined. As it is right now, For Honor is an amazing game, and I really would not like to see it decline as those other games did.
What if I told you. . . it's not.Originally Posted by SpringReborn Go to original post
Yes. I know. But those people don't even know what they are talking about. I have read almost every post and barely 2 or 3 actually made a valid point about a certain issue. The rest are just complaining cause they got their butts handed to them by skilled players. And since they dont actually take the time to learn how to play, they are trying to make the other characters weaker. Learning how to play is not only knowing your favorite hero's moves, but also knowing the moves from other heroes and learning how to predict enemy attack patterns. Those people don't know how to do any of that, therefore they lose. This game is almost completely balanced. I use 3 different heroes, warden, orochi and kensei, and with ALL 3 I can defeat ALL other heroes, including the ones that are supposedly "op". And I can beat them even while playing against skilled players. How? Because I actually learned how to play. Of course, I'm not saying I never lose. I obviously lose sometimes. And I love it. It's really exciting when I get to have a really close fight with another skilled player (close as in we both are at one hit from dying).Originally Posted by hudechek Go to original post
Anyway, just imagine now that all heroes would play or feel the same. No one would be complaining, BECAUSE NO ONE WOULD BE PLAYING due to how boring the game would be if it were like that. As I said, every single hero is completely different from the rest. Some are slow, some are fast, some deal high damage, some deal low damage. But none of that means the game is unbalanced. People just need to learn how to play the game instead of complaining when a skilled player beats them.
No such thing as perfect balance. Zone attacks are likely going to be looked at, peacekeeper stab will receive a slight damage nerf so its more in line with guaranteed heavies from other chars, warden's shoulder bash feint is creating the same issues that got warlord's headbutt feint nerfed.
That said, its true most people don't make a single valid point in their complaints. Everything is too fast, too strong, impossible to counter, takes no skill, shouldnt be in the game and blah blah. Its pathetic really and sad they don't even know it.
