MAJOR balance issue - AI issue

Once you get over level 18 the AI becomes a god. I mean literally unbeatable, it's like playing against someone who is hacking/cheating. The computer reads your controller and ALWAYS counters perfectly, to such an extent that even very good human players are helpless against them. You can only win by ganging up, and even then, I've witnessed the AI solo 3 players at once. These are level 16-20, so they are not noobs.

This is absolutely ridiculous. It is not fun. Of course you can program the AI to where it never loses, never misses a block, never misses an attack, and always wins. You need to create an AI program that is challenging but not cheating.

This is literally killing the game for me and I WILL be getting a refund if it's not fixed by release, as it makes the game virtually unplayable. ANY team that has at least one bot on it becomes god-tier. Even the very best human players can't compete with a cheater who reads your controller and always responds perfectly. The way the current AI is set up, you're basically "playing" both characters at the same time. It's BS and I'm calling you out on it.

Sounds like you went against a level 3 bot.

Any really good player will be able to defeat them.
Only way I've been able to beat them is countering their strikes and timing attacks to their patterns.

Their defensive capabilities are ridiculous though, they'll successfully block 80% of your attacks and guard breaks.
100% if they're out of stamina(freaking hacker mode on).

I think the only problem here is the bot was pitted against someone who wasn't able to deal with one, which i would blame you if you can't,
    they're freaking insane sometimes.
Level 3 bot should def only put against like the top 10%-20% of players who actually would be able to deal with them.

If it was a level 2 bot, idk what to say fam.

The defense is 100% and the only way the team was able to take down even one was if 3 or 4 of us attack at once and one player spams guard break over and over while the others swing. There is otherwise a 0% chance to hit them. I am not exaggerating, it's absolutely 0%.

Here's how it seems to work: Whichever player the bot is attacking, that player's controller input is *also* the bot's input. So if you attack left, it blocks/parries left and then performs a perfect counter. If your guard is to the left, it will attack somewhere else, and if you switch guard it will cancel and swing at the side that's not defended. 100% flawless attack and defend, because it's literally reading your controls and countering as you play. Hence, the bot isn't "playing" at all at that level, it's simply mirroring your control input and using the best/perfect response every time.

It is 100% impossible to hit, guard break, or defend for very long. You can only block its strikes if you move your guard into the way in the split second AFTER the bot has committed to its strike. Ridiculous.

This should be removed, or at least give players the option under "match settings" to limit the level of bots that can spawn, REGARDLESS of player or gear level. You might as well allow cheat engine tables and trainers to be used so that players can get the Contract rewards that require them to go against the AI.

Might as well just disable matches vs AI once you get past a certain point, as there is literally no way to win.

It's totally possible to hit them. Level 2 bots are a challenge, but definitely beatable and lvl 3 bots are actually really hard to beat. You just have to play smart. If you see they counter every attack you do, just play defensively. Parry them into guaranteed guardbreak into guaranteed heavy attack. It's not because they're lvl 2-3 that the attacks of the character are faster so it's definitely possible to win against them. If you mash and hope to hit him well idk what to tell you... You will get your a$$ beat everytime if you mash against these bots.

I don't think you've seen what I'm talking about. It doesn't matter how you play, they either attack 100% perfectly or defend 100% perfectly. YOU are playing for both your character and the bot. It's just reading your controller and doing the most appropriate response. It's not possible to fake them out or use any kind of tactic other than ganking them and having one player spam guard break while 1 or 2 others swing.

Yeah well, if they attack ''100% perfectly'' as you said, that means they committed to their attack which means you can block, deflect or parry. Using deflect can guarantee dmg just like parrying. Also, as I said, even if they feint, they can only feint at the beginning of their heavy attack which means that if they commit to their heavy attack, you can parry --> guard break --> guranteed heavy attack or w/e. Even if as you say it's ''mirroring'' your input for the perfect counter. Just wait for them to attack and counter them... It's totally possible to win against them.

Are you just theorizing here? I would like to see evidence of this. I have yet to see a human win 1v1 against it, the only thing I've seen work is the gank technique I mentioned above.

What's the level of the bot you're talking about? The highest I've seen I believe is 3 and we won without going 3v1 or 4v1 on him. I doubt there are lvl 4 bots in the beta, but I don't know what to say if you were against a level 2 or 3 bot other than it's definitely winnable.

The difficulty ramped up to godlike today after about 6 pm EST. I don't know if it was an update or what, I stopped playing around noon and came back this evening and LOL it was like playing against Skynet.

Do you have video of an actual 1v1 victory against one of these god-bots?

No I don't. I'm just a scrub who plays for fun so I don't stream, record myself or anything so I have no proof at all unfortunately.
