First off the way both of them can spam guard break/shield bash over and over with little stamina cost is broken. Also how the conqueror can basically attack and block at the same time is stupid. Also their auto guard mode or whatever takes little to NO stamina. Every time i fought one of them they do the exact same combo, and if you get pushed into a wall against them you're screwed. They are the only 2 classes that ruin the game imo... You guys did a good job with the warden's shoulder bash, you should make the other 2 shield characters the same dynamic.
I actually have a completely different issue with these classes. If you use an unblockable guard break like Warden's shoulder charge or nobushi kick, it doesn't matter if you connect, a halfway compitent player WILL block anyway, defeating the purpose. Their recovery on those moves for block is faster than any other character for no expicable reason, and I've tried everything. Side light for warden is faster than most classes lights but can't connect for... What reason exactly? It actually makes AI warlords nightmarish thanks to the AI never missing a counter guard break unless they are dodging or in the opening animation of an attack and rarely missing a block on reaction. Humans can do the same thing, but that brings me back to my first issue.
I will say, Conq is not as bad thanks to their lack of counter attack and charging heavy leaving them open to guard break, but its noticable.
Slow down their recovery off unblockable guard break SLIGHTLY to put them in line with every other character. Easy fix.
usually I hate these kinds of posts, but as someone who plays conqueror but plays a lot of other characters as well, I can tell you, he's one of the weakest heroes in the game atm. Very easy to counter if you're up against good players, and the game seems hell-bent on putting me up against really good players every single game, meaning if I want to win I can't play him...Originally Posted by Lyskir Go to original post

They aren't invincible if you attack only with counters or parries. I was able to beat a Conqueror 1v1 as an Orochi, barely. Most of the time though, they will shield charge you and that will give them an open shot on you. It can be dodged if they try to activate it at a good distance that allows you to.
just do your fastest light attack when a conq shield bashes, dodge a warlord. conq is slow, but warlord is sluggish. what i mean is this: if a conq misses an attack it has the quickest block time (he can block faster after a attack and even when being stunned) a warlord also can block and block when stunned but its harder to do and he recovers slower from a missed attack.
any class can be beaten, just some classes have broken moves (like peacekeeper stabbing you without a clear way of breaking out of it or assassins dodging 24/7 for 0 stamina cost)
if any, the stamina cost needs to be lowered more for full block stance but thats a different issue
ive played warlord alot and a bit of conq and i can tell you how furious i getwhen i play vs assassins simply because of the gaint speed gap
I main a warlord. My auto block uses an absolute crap-ton of stamina. I'm not afraid to admit I use headbutt spam as a litmus paper for an opponent' skill level. Anyone who doesn't suck will avoid the second headbutt I try in a row. Anyone even remotely familiar with their character will make me pay for the second one. Badly. I have to work HARD to put a hurting on anyone who's not an assassin. Learn to beat a class instead of crying about it.
