Using Beta files to pre-load the complete release | Forums

In short, Will i be able to use the open-beta gamefiles i downloaded to lessen the amount i have to download for the entire game?

I downloaded the open beta on steam and have the real game ready to be preloaded there aswell.
With my 400kb/s speeds the 30GB are going to take me two to three nights of download time so i was wondering if i could 'shorten' it!

To our knowledge, the full game will require a fresh installation and will not incorporate the beta during its download process.

Yep got mine on Steam and its downloaded (preorder) a fresh build (to play on 14th), even though i have the beta on there as well.

I just renamed my Forhonor Beta to For Honor and chose 'Select install location' or whatever (sorry) As the Beta's location (renamed obviously).
The verification was successful and i was able to select Play
After selecting Play, I was given to option to Play offline or Download a patch.
I chose Download and this gave me a 8+GB update as opposed to the 33GB I would have otherwise needed to download on terrible Australian interwebs.

Note: I haven't finished downloading yet but so far so good.

Uplay then turned my update into a 33GB download.
So hey... Was worth a shot but NoJoy.
