Anyone who says feint is a mind game clearly has no idea what mind games are and never has played a proper fighting game with real mind games.

Defense is WAY to powerful in this game. And there are some characters that never should attack because defense is just so overpowered for them. Even the real pro players think this is a problem.

So first, what is a mind game? it should make your opponent trick into doing one thing and then you punish him by doing something else. now here is the problem: neither feint nor guard break are a mind game. why? because you don't have to guess. You can just react to it. The guard break has an indicator and a HUGE time frame to counter guard break. a good player can counter guard break 99% of the time just by reaction time. so no guess here.
Feint suffers the same problem. the attack animation interrupts so early (and there is no way to interrupter it at a much later point) that you don't need to guess if he will attack or not. the parry time frame happens AFTER the interrupt. so again, if you have strong reflexes like most good players there is no guessing involved. this is a fundamental flaw in the design of the game.
If no changes are made this game can never be played competitive in a serious way.

So all you wanna be pros in this thread should be ashamed of your self and "git gut" because you clearly lack proper knowledge of the game.

You cannot react fast enough to some faster heavy feint attacks to discern whether or not you can parry them or it being a feint.

    Git gud

100% wrong. I think you just lack the reaction time.

Don't get me wrong guys, i still love the game and am not really going to refund it but i still see a problem with free guard breaks. Ive talked to many different players about the issue and a lot of people say they are glad it exists because its the only real way to deal damage to players since pros can pretty much defend against everything else. But honestly even the best player in the world makes mistakes and there must be another way rather than literally giving people free hits.

Im also still concerned how overpowered the flail users shield bash is, i have experienced first hand and tested it myself how overpowered it is, there really isnt a way to dodge it very well since the hit box is so big and it guarantees hits so like i said previously, if you get someone in a corner its just gg theres absolutely nothing they can do. some say omg u can interrupt it, but you cant because you are staggering the whole time.

i agree but what you can do is feint after you see its a feint so then you can recover, depending who you are fighting they might be able to get in a light attack within that time frame because of how fast their weapon is but usually each class has their own fastest light attacka nd you can just be safer than sorry by placing your block for that one.

And let those of us who like the game and the way that it is be free to play in peace.

    Thanks. And Bye.
