I've been spending a fair bit of my weekend trying out For Honor when I noticed during my matches that some attacks or dodges would be delayed.
After trying to find what the problem was beyond just input lag(which I did not believe there was), I noticed that when you switch up your guard position the animation blocks you from taking any other actions.
When using characters such as berserker or peacekeeper, these animation traps can be life or death if you're attempting to deflect an attack. Using other characters, it can slow down attacks or other similar moves.
I'm not sure if there are other actions in the game which have an animation trap that is similar, but this is the first one I've noticed.
I believe that the graphical animation for switching up guards should be independent of your ability to perform other actions.
