    Is This It?

The game I've played so far is fantastic, but it seems to be suffering from an issue that I've come to associate with Ubisoft, i.e. lack of content.

If the "beta" I'm playing is the game in full, then I'll be done by the end of the Weekend!

    We have:

    1. 9 unique fighters across 3 races. Will I have mastered even one by the end of the Weekend? No, but I'll have had the opportunity to play all of them and decide which I like best.

    2. a limited variety of battlegrounds. The levels are lush and each has its own flavour, but there just doesn't seem to be enough variety in landscapes.

    3. 5 or 6 different game modes, all of which it could be argued can be put into the same "death match" category (yes, that includes dominion).

As usual, it seems that Ubisoft have come up with a winning "gimmick" (the fight system), then built the whole game around this gimmick with little else in the way of substance.

Give me a decent story, or let me wander the bustling streets of my home city (apocalypse be damned; there must be life and trading to be done in those cities we're shown!). Let there be a conquest mode or, something!

Anyway, my 2 pennies and I'd be interested to read what others think.

I agree with you. Like so many games nowadays the potential is overwhelming but the execution is lackluster. The closed betas were a lot of fun but this open beta has given me a completely different feel for the game. It's tedious, frustrating and very random. My hype has slowly burned out and as it is now I won't be investing in the game.
