    An issue regarding the combat.

    Hi.

[I am now currently trying out For honor open beta. I got to report an issue i've had with the gameplay experience.
Basically, everything is running really smoothly ingame. Im always at 70-80 fps on extreme visuals.
My issue would be that whenever i am in game (during combat to be more specific) and clash or block with another player or AI, my screen freezes for about 0.3-0.5 seconds.
Now i know this is not too long, but if pretty much ruins the idea of the gameplay since it'll give the player shorter time to react, and since the visuals freeze for a short amount of time, there is no way for me to understand what is happening on screen.

Can you please look into that issue. I am pretty sure my hardware handles the game very well, and im sitting on a Geforce GTX 980.

    Hi, s4lamand3r,

    Welcome to the forums!

Can you please try the following?:

Open your Control Panel, and make sure to uninstall anything which is related to Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable.

Once this is done, please download and install the following files :

    same thing. :(

i tried uninstalling everything with them, and installed all the files above.

I even tried re installing the game, but still the same issue occurs, whenever i engage in combat, the screen freezes for a short duration giving me no time tor eact to following attacks or combos. i even tried turning down my graphics to medium, but still the same problem remains.

    Similar, but in slow-mo

During open beta, i experienced slow-motion effects during duels.
Mostly happened in 1v1 with my friend (We were both on > 100 mbit fiber broadband internet, having < 30 ms. latency (my nat type was open, he had strict).

During our local matches, i had everything on the lowest settings, keeping FPS around 90. We even agreed on directions he had to land heavy attacks from, to let me perform dodges/deflects easy, but problem was, i could only land them maybe 1 or 2 out of 20.

Vs. bots in practice, landing 90-100% or more is not a problem, with the same attacks comming in.
The only difference for me is, that the game feels like slow-motion when doing duels vs. real players. Adding more players into the game seems like solving the problem (maybe they just had open NAT?).

I was on skype during the duels, and most of the time, my friend did not experience the drop in game speed during my rage (like my phycics calculations were in fact behind, thus not enabling me to hit within the short deflect windows).

Having around 90FPS and an enabled (yes enabled) G-sync monitor, should make sure that deflecting/parry should be of same difficulty.
(Game was not installed on SSD, even though i had two...)

(Testing the last 30 minutes of open beta, i had GPU-Z running with system monitor. CPU were hardly batteling anything witth its 8 cores - also tried to set the process to high priority, even leaving a cpu core for other things than the game as a test. No difference. GPU was pushing its limits, leaving maybe 200-400 MB of ram (2GB card 1080p. Could this be it? - a GTX 760 should be supported according to the spec........)

Were either of you using a Wireless controller? There are issues when using a Wireless Xbox or DualShock 4 that cause framerate stutters.
