Glaring issues remain.
This is my second hands on with the game and some massive glaring issues that were seen first time are still here. The game operates on peer to peer connection which is a absolute disaster in it own right. Games are forever freezing and 'recovering" and "synchronising" rolling back and losing connection. I would imagine that this isn't going to change any time soon. It's coded this way and its here to stay.
I think the alternative solution is punish people for abandoning matches. Zero tolerance for the greater enjoyment of the player base.
Had a issue where a enemy player went invisible. Nobody in group could see him. He ended up going 23-1 while we farmed enough to be able to get catapult feat to kill him. Rediculous!
Punish players for running off at the start of the match. Every single game some idiot just starts sprinting around the map until you get caught by his friends who have either won their battle or lost and got revived while you are chasing dumb dumb around. Make it cost stamina to run away in all modes but dominion.
When a friendly player dies a big stupid skull appears in the centre or all his teammates screens. Normally obstructing the view of incoming attacks. Very bad design.
Kensei and Raider still ice skate forward on a overhead attack. So even if you dodge backwards they slide towards you and land it regardless.
Kensei still has stupid "auto aim" on his overhead unblockable. Regardless if you dodge
- before he lifts off the ground
- while he is in mid air
- or while he is bringing the sword down
His character will twist last second to hit you. It only seems to register that you dodged 4 out of 10 times on average.
The only plausible way of ensuring it doesn't last is to leave go of target lock and quickly room away as if you were trying to completely disengage, then go back to the fight. This is viable in a 1v1 but in dominion or when fighting 2 OR terrain dictation.. this isn't always a viable solution.
