at the start it worked well for me. But as the enemies became better at parry/block i hit a wall. Now i'am so discouraged that i loose nearly all of my matches.
I'am already below 50% win ratio. All those free grabs and heavies top.. But i cant even keep up any more with normal blocks. I hit 1 out 100 deflections. My own GB mostly kill me since when the enemy doesn't touch my nose with his my range for it is too short. Also... really every attack i try to pull is begin blocked/parried into a enemy combo i can then mostly do nothing anymore about.
I wanted to stick with him but this entire experience has become utterly frustrating. By this point with loosing 9 out of 10 games i'am considering putting for honor down. Since games are supposed to be fun.. but this isn't fun anymore.Guess this game wasn't for me.

i am pretty sure they are just going to keep releasing new customisation hats insead of trying to actually improving the game mechanic
I'm bored, and I like a nice 1on1 on somebody who thinks Berserker is underpowered or not valuable. I would prefer if you know your stuff, but I'm happy to give a lesson anyway. Also, please not just a best of five, lets go for at least 10 or 20 rounds. This game is about mindgames at some level, and I'm really not good enough to get into somebody skilled's head in just about 5 rounds^^

I agree that dauntless needs a change. It exists as a thematic "This guy is going berserk, he's going to throw out a lot of attacks and pressure enemies in doing so", but in reality blocking and parrying was a lot easier to execute than the devs might have though. You can never really benefit from dauntless, most of the time you're just asking to be punished.
I think the zerker overhead after a certain number of hits should indeed be unblockable. I also think you should be able to cancel either forward dashing overhead strike into a guard break. Would be cool if berserker could cancel into an elbow bash to the head or a knee to the face.
Another great buff to the zerker would be to just give him even more stamina. Getting in someones face and feinting into more attacks is really effective imo, but you often will run out of stamina doing it.
The top 2 things I'd want are
1) rework dauntless to include unblockables or to just straight up trigger earlier
2) a dashing guard break, or something that allow the berserker to apply pressure and mix up his offense. TBH, warlord probably doesn't need headbutt where berserker really DOES need it.

It might be neat if dauntless worked like shugoki's invincibility shell but in reverse. When the berserker takes damage is when he GAINS dauntless. A red glimmer will flash on his body, allowing all of his attacks to be uninterruptible for a duration. Maybe while in this state his overhead heavy is also unblockable.
the "uninterruptable" part is pretty much pointless as none who knows what they are doing is going to try to trade blows with a zerker, so they just block your next light and youre done.Originally Posted by YOGZULA Go to original post

ok the last two days i made a comeback. I got better with vikings in general. But i also added some moves to my berserker and now i can play well with him again.
On the other hand my last match now.. i want to share it. I fought a rep 3? nobushi. She has mastered parries perfectly. every attack i tried when she was ready was parried right away with a heavy top as punishment. After the game went into 2/0 for her i thought like... ok i can't go on like this. I went to super passive dodge attacks. Since i could only attack when she was attack because she couldn't parry. Ok.. so win just by dodge attack and throw in some feints. I was not really happy about this victory.
So in chat she now writes.. "guess i need to be more defensive from now on"....... You can tell how a match like this would go. I told her "if you play any more defensive we would just be staring at each other". :- ( This makes me really sad because defensive play is favored so hard in this game. Its like "the first to attack looses". We really need to change the way parries in this game work.

that's my new idea for reworking dauntless and i really think i'm onto something. Makes more use of berserker's full kit and gives him an actual approach option. Better yet, you can cancel out of a missed leap so it's still not super unsafe if they block it. This would all really play into the thematic design of berserker I think
