My friends and I are having a much bigger problem making and maintaining a group in the Open than we did in the Closed. Forming the group involves lots of failed invites and then when we are finally able to make a group it is disbanded as soon as we finish the current round of matches. We had this problem in the Closed, but with the amount of times that we are getting kicked back out to the menus during matches in the Open it is quite ridiculous. Not a great look a week out from launch and combined with the massive P2P server issues, i'm having trouble convincing some of my friends that this is a worthwhile investment.
Definitely a big step back from the Closed beta.

Sadly this is something that I used to experience while gaming on consoles as a teen. This is nothing new and something that my friends and I had experienced in the first few hours of the beta. It also happens on a couple of other games that we play where we have to manually disband the group and start over when people start to have issues with joining the group, this game doesn't allow you to manually disband the group at least not in the beta but when we have an issue with someone joining, another person will send out invites to a fresh group and we don't have any problem getting everything into that group.
One thing that I've noticed is that if nobody leaves the lobby after the end of the match, then the group doesn't disband and we can play on with the same lobby of people, but sometimes when one or two people leave and are not replaced before the match starts it often causes the party to disband. Pretty unusual but it's a beta so issues are to be expected, and I have no idea if this is a pattern that happens for everyone but it seemed that this was what happened when the party disbanded every time that it had happened. Maybe that was just a coincidence though.
What we started doing is just simply leaving to world map 'with group' and instantly initiating another search for the mode we were playing and since we started doing this there hasn't been any issues with disbanding at all. Might be a good temp workaround until Ubisoft are able to find and fix the problem.
