    Conqueror superior block heavy attack

How does it work? No matter when I start my heavy attack it doesn't block anything and I get it. I see a video saying to time it as you whould a parry. But whould'n that do, you know, A PARRY instead of an heavy with block? I don't get it

Basically the startup part of a Conquest's heavy acts as though you're also blocking in that direction, so anything that hits you from that direction during that time is blocked while your heavy continues.

The window's bigger than Parry, and Parry by itself doesn't do damage; it staggers and drains stamina.

If you charge your heavy attack beforehand you might do more damage than a Parry follow-up.

Doesn't work at all for me, either it parry because it's the same input or I start my heavy and I don't block anything

It is basicly a parry(from the timing i think), but if you release your winded up Heavy at the moment, it does damage like a winded up heavy and is unblockable by taking a quick test on a bot.Even unwinded it hits with damage instea of only staggering

Well since Parry's timing is "just before an attack lands", Your heavy still has to go out before an attack lands for it to block anything.

It's just that whereas with Parry you'd eat it if you use your heavy too early, with Conqueror if you're a bit early it still works, and deals damage to boot.

    Ubisoft doesn't know english.

Ubisoft worded it horribly wrong.. "startup of hvy is superior block" which would indicate the start of the attack. But as I'm sure you are painfully aware that is a LIE, it blocks only if you time as mentioned before: a smidgen/fraction of a second before a parry.

They could argue that it is the startup but it would be debunked by the fact that you can get hit while in startup from the direct you're attacking. the attack (startup= micro second) must be done with the same thought as a parry but a micro second earlier.

Best way i've found is to being charging your heavy and release on the parry. Seems to work MUCH more often.
