Honestly, it just feels like an empty, lazy effort to pad the game's "play time" with tedious nonsense that exists for the sake of itself.

But it wouldn't be a Ubisoft game if we couldn't zone out while collecting feathers.

    I mean oil barrels.

It's been said already in this forum, but it can't be said enough. I didn't get to play 4 player co-op, but I can imagine how annoying and tedious it would be us all having to tag each supply. It makes absolutely no sense. If a supply is tagged, then it is tagged - end of. Why should it be tagged 4 times just because there are 4 in the team? Silly.

"Overwatch, keep an eye on our six".
    *group runs around tagging everything*
    "Um... how about me guys"
*group aggroes / gets in helo and flies off*
    ...

Seriously though, if you end up playing with randoms, can you just imagine asking players to play support or overwatch?

Everyone will be rambo assault till the bitter end ;p

Not that it's not happening now, but there'd be an incentive to continue doing so.

    *runs in an aggroes outpost*
"soz bros needed that resource to lvlup"

I don't like having to go search for these either, but I do understand both sides of this. Its another way to make the player run around exploring. Something I don't really mind, but I would like it so if your on a team then whoever opens the or tags something that everyone in the team gets credit for it.

They ought to make it meaningful, then. As it stands, tagging resources is boring and serves to provide only a reason for its own existence. It has no tangible effect on the game world, at all.

It would be cool if tagging resources played into the rebel support functions.
