Agree with that. As I said elsewhere when someone said without the pickups / boosts that it would just be Brawl but with 4 more guys, it is just Brawl but with 4 more guys. Nothing elimination about it. Might as well rename it to 'Revival' at the moment.Originally Posted by jack_slappypapp Go to original post
This is true but as the game stands people are not being executed and revivable corpses litter the battlefield. Whatever the % of kills ending in executions is, it's a low one.Originally Posted by Slarg232 Go to original post
I doubt I am having a very different gameplay experience from everyone else, in my experience people are revivable 10 x more often than they are not.
A large number of the 'elimination' games you will find yourself in are just revival races.
Do you really expect any honor from this generation of gamers? Always assume that the enemy will not play fair. Always assume that they will kick you into the water, off the bridge. Always assume that they will stab you in the back when you think you're winning. Especially on round 5 of a 2-2 game.
Your team is to blame for not executing their opponent. Most players probably want to finish off the enemy as quick as possible and choose to just do fast swings instead of heavy finishes. Then run off to gank on an enemy not realizing that someone might revive the person they just dropped.
I completely agree with XORaptor0 - I will do whatever it takes to win but in return, I expect my opponents to treat me the same way, throw me off ledge, gank me, whatever, I would do the same so I accept if it happens to me.Originally Posted by Archo-Vax Go to original post
I just make little exceptions here and there, if my duel opponent greets me at the start, says gl & hf or uses emote, I refrain from throwing off a ledge.
You raise a good point which stands as a good example for my idea of playing. I always assume the other guy is not to be trusted or taken lightly anyhow, but if I get the impression of him being the opposite, that's the time I want to have a decent fight.Originally Posted by Flyin Japman4 Go to original post
To be honest, whenever i play a 4v4 mode (Elimination for example)) i go in with the Mindset to win (scold me for that if you will). I do feel a bit sorry if i ruin ones Day (well... match/round really) if i gang up un then, but thats what Elimination is about. And with the Pickups, it feels like you don't get to have as fair or honorable fight as you get in Duel or Brawl modes.Originally Posted by Euruse Go to original post
In Brawl and Duel however, i always try to fight Honorably (not throwing People off of Cliffs, not going in 2v1). However, if the enemies begin to gang up on me and/or try to throw me off ledges, i simply go "Ok, lets have it your way then." the next round.
Yes, but the problem is, when you're in the middle of a fight, trying to get your opponent down and out so that you can either help your teammates or avoid being ganked, its not as easy as "making sure you get the execution." Making sure the last swing is a landed heavy attack can be hard to do, especially against a nimble opponent, and isn't always a viable option in the heat of a fight.Originally Posted by Slarg232 Go to original post
