Raider is underpowered

Warlord is underpowered

Berserker is underpowered

Viking balance is just right
One someone parries any of your attacks they have a guaranteed heavy attack/guard break. All you have to do against this trash character is just sit in guard, wait for them to attack, parry, punish, repeat twice, win. It's honestly impossible to win against someone who knows this tactic.
i voted for the warlord. mainly because he feels too tanky for his still great offensive power, and the simple fact (same as the conquerer) that he has the option to block all directions. In a panic, getting attacked by multiple people? no problem, why not block all directions.
Closed Beta player here with some feedback!
There does seem to have been some minor tweaking since the closed beta but I have two complaints/suggestions/observations about the Vikings. 1) The Warlord's throw mechanic is a bit silly. Being able to latch on through a shield and turn at least 180 degrees then toss someone is a bit much. I understand there's a guard break mechanic, but I believe if a Warlord can also aim where he wants to throw their opponent there should be a second break for that. 2) The Berserker peeves me when it comes to stamina. I was being chased by a Berserker and they performed the overhead jump five times in a row to kill me. Granted having gear that could aid in stamina (I was playing Elimination), but the player was only level 7. When I jump dodge it usually takes a good chunk of stamina away so a dual wielding overhead jumping attack shouldn't be sustainable when chaining them back to back.
I played since closed beta. Here's where we are at right now:
Raider is underpowered. He cannot initiate a light-heavy-heavy combo, and his light combos don't do enough damage to justify his slow speed. Raider suffers from overall bad and predictable attacks and he is probably the worst character for dueling. He does good damage per-hit, but he's not very "adaptable and straightforward." You pretty much have to bum rush people off cliffs to win, if the other side knows what they are doing. This is not a satisfying way to play, even if you're "winning." You either go for cheap wins or suffer cheap losses. Not fun.
Suggestions:
- Speed up the raider and tighten up his combo animations. We get that he's supposed to be relatively slow and hit hard, but he's TOO slow right now. Make him do extra stamina damage if you just sit there and block. Make him take less stamina damage for blocked strikes.
- Stamina depletes a little too quickly, even if you don't use his unblockable attack.
- The stunning tap is too slow. Other characters have similar "gotcha" moves that can be used as a genuine surprise. You can't do this with the raider.
- Give him just a bit more HP. He's easy to counter and hit, and almost no one uses him for duels or brawls because he's easy to duel against and doesn't really hold up that well once he starts getting hit.
- Damage per hit is fine, just make his animations a bit faster and give him the ability to do a light-heavy-heavy combo.
Warlord is too strong right now. His tankiness is fine and his overall offense/moveset feel right after the headbutt nerf, but the problem is that he does too much damage per hit. He's nearly on par with the raider damage wise while being MUCH more survivable and having all the benefits of heavy/shielded characters. I don't mind if he's the most "offensive" of the tank characters, but right now he's a little to good in that area.
- Nerf damage per hit, maybe increase stamina cost for heavy attacks a little bit.
- Increase the delay between getting blocked or knocked down and being able to defend/attack again. Right now, even if you stun, run him into a wall, or otherwise use disruption to get his guard down, he's basically still protected. Only really fast characters like the Orochi can hit him reliably, even when he messes up.
- Slow down heavy characters in general a little bit, and by this I mean their general walking/running speed. Right now you don't really need vanguards since heavies can cover ground and do offense just as good or better, and they are much better at defending/holding a point.
Vanguards are literally pointless right now once you unlock your faction's heavy. I really like the look and idea of the Raider and the Warden, for example, but I know that Warlord and Conqueror are just flat out better. They can do everything the vanguards can and more.

Fullblock shieldpushing and the headbutt is the only usefull things on him since the game is usually flooded with nobushi and orochi which makes his superior block light attacks useless since they are way to hard to block without using his fullblock. The reason why headbutt is so heavy used is because of its great lockon its viable compared to rest of his kit and its easy to combo it with a guard break to throw the enemy of a cliff.
Please take a good look at Raider he's heavy attacks are completely useless in duels and brawls he cant land those from almoust any options there is. Only one that works is parrying someone with no stamina where his heavy can connect.
And parries dont get you antyhing exept throws that dont lead to anything if theres no ledges. only other thing he gets is the gb into super that does measly 1 bar of damage.
The Vikings move fairly slow compared to the other classes. Especially when fighting the Conquerer or Nobushi, when you try and block or do a fast attack, Conquerer and Nobushi so easily block you and do a fast attack that bleeds you, and when you block, especially as a Berserker, it feels imoossible at times to block anything from the Nobushi because she's fast as damn lightning compared to a Viking. Vikings are underpowered. That's my opinion though
i love how all the low skill players that get chain-wrecked by the berserker think he is actually OP, when in high level play he is probably the worst class atm due to not having any unblockables or combos that do damage without requiring a top-heavy which is easy as hell to counter.
its the same people that think that basically anything is OP![]()
