My feedback on the system as it stands now on PC.

While i am still hoping for miracles to happen when the game goes live i know time is running out.I have seen many things that are still worrying me about the game in general part of which is how it's made for pc so lets get to it.

Controls- I can't stress this one enough the controls are not reactive at all there is a lot of issues here i'll break down what i have noticed.

    1) You can't turn off the mouse movement for blocking. Why? honestly i'd rather have the keys (which i do have set currently) as opposed to hoping i move my mouse far enough in a fight to swing the right way and block as well.

    2) Guarding-Again feels a lot like input lag sometimes i can get it and other seems like my mouse did not move far enough or what idk but feels bad.

    3) Parrying-Whoever thought it was a good ideal to make it move the mouse and an attack button needs a sword to the face. This by far is the most hindering thing in defending i have ever seen. Again i can't say fairly due to input lag or pings but i rarely see anyone successfully use a parry cause usually it just winds up swinging or you just get smacked trying.

    4) Combos-Again feels like input lag but trying to move you mouse for the fast combos on assassin(or any class for that matter) to get into the right sides seems to fail a bit.

I know input lag can be a network issue so lets lead to that.

Networking-This is the biggest and will be the biggest bain of this game.

    1) People disconnecting-This interrupts fights is not fun very much so when it rubberbands you back.

    2) Desync- We have all seen the videos where the guys have been executed just to rise from the grave and kill the guy that just chopped his head off. This is not cool. Not to mention people teleporting around and just straight up disappearing and poofing behind you.

    3) Input lag- See above in controls.

This is the reasons people have begged for servers instead of the cheap p2p connections cause it's really hard to enjoy a game or judge is something is not working when it can be the networking the whole time. You can always fix servers and boot people with to high of ping. You can't fix someone else rig or their connection given the fact if they are the host their connect does not suffer.

Now finally the heroes/combat.While right now we are missing 3 of them( i still don't get this being this close to release they need to be tested). I like what we have so far but there is a lot of balance issues that need to be resolved so this is a joint heroes/combat section.

    1) Parry- So the only way to stop these unblockable attacks is the parry? The one thing that is so hit and miss due to it's design this really is hurting the skill level of the game. Honestly there needs to be a better why to put parry in the game again hard to say if the input lag is eatting it or what but so far with over 25 hours in i rarely see anyone parry and when i try 7/10 times i fail and that is one vanguard when i can hold my stance. This needs to be more consistent

    2) Unblockable attacks- On some classes these are way to accessible and easy to spam as they are a stand alone move or maybe a two hit combo where those that are smart will whiff the first hit as a gap closer to land the unblockable. These either need to be less accessible in the game or eat more stamina or something. The biggest culprits of this is crusader, warlord, raider, and nobunoshi

    3) Guard break- There is enough complaints about this one. As everyone have something different here from huge carries to simple just hilt bashing them. As well the ranges on all of them vary making some extremely more effective then others. These are spammed a lot for a cheap kill since there is hazards everywhere to be thrown into. not to mention the fact it's tossed in non stop with faints and the light swing spam that gets tossed in with the stagger of death. This needs to be a adjusted with a higher stamina use or a timer something this move is to game changing to be this easy of an I win button.

    4) The stagger of death-This leads into a lot of the issues as well that if you land one light blow you might as well just stand there and get hit cause you can't usually recover during the flurry of hits and this usually leads to a guard break or an unblockable that knocks you on your back and then it's game. This stagger of death needs some counterplay.

    5) Camera-Wait this one is in combat? why not in the controls right? Well i see this as more of a combat issue then a control issue lets break down why.

The Lock ons- The big part of the game the 1v1 mode guard mode sometimes the camera likes to break and move the other way from the guy you where just locked on. This causes issues as now you have to drop guard and go back into it to fight. As well Why does the camera not break off the hero you just killed? This is really a pet peeve i have. i have killed someone in enough time that he should have been able to lock on to the other enemy just for me to get slapped down cause the lock did not break and i am trying to guard and hit the target change button to. Most games like this have it to where once you kill something it will lock the other target or atleast retract your weapon and end the lock.

This is my feedback about the game honestly i'll keep testing in the days leading up but so far i do not feel comfortable paying $60 for as many issues as this game has going to live. I know no game is perfect out of the gates but the fact that some of these combat issues exist at this point and there is the other 3 classes that are suppose to be here at launch and most have not got there hands on them makes me worry how much more imbalance will be brought out then.So honestly i would love to know if ubisoft plans to actually find changes for this or will it be like chivalry and just have flaws that they refuse to fix because (it's fun for some).

I noticed the input lag was not a bad an hour ago so i am thinking this falls under network issues but further testing is needed.

    Block is garbage on PC

Blocking is neigh impossible with a mouse. The problem is that unlike a control stick, a mouse has no neutral position. So once you move it in one direction, moving it back to a place where you can flick it in another direction to block means switching your guard. Thus it is almost impossible to block more than one attack. What block needs is to be bound to a key, and automatically block in the direction of your guard when you press it.

exactly which is why it pisses me off they have no option to remove it completely from the mouse but we can still have keys for it. it does not help if i move the mouse.
