Bots are actually pretty tough in this game... While a lvl1 conquerer is pretty easy to overcome, a lvl 2 conquerer bot is better than most players i´ve encountered. its not every class where bots scale this much but you can say, a lvl 2 bot is better than a random player. But if you can get these bots down, most players you´ll meet willl be fair to easy game.

Easy way to get better is to use practice mode and just work on your character of choice's moveset so that you know the ins ans outs of your character. Know how much stamina moves cost, understand each move's use and what can be used to follow it up. For example I can follow up a shoulder bash with a light heavy mixup with my warden. Each character has its own tools you just have to experiment and see how your chosen class works.
bots are great for learning.
