    A great idea for headshots!

It's time we revolutionize headshots in video games.

can I get a +1 from those who think it would be cool if when performing a headshot parts of the enemy's head would actually explode. Depending on caliber. 7.62 would have half the head blown off. Smaller calibers would leave smaller entrance would. Like a totally destructable head. Like there's a 2 second window to destruct the head as much as possible before the body hits the ground. I personally think this would be cool and being a rated M game not too violent. Just realistic.

That's a bummer. I understand it could be too violent for kids under 16 but that's the parents job to regulate that. I'm sure the majority of people that play this game are over 18 years of age and could handle more graphic details. Rated R movies are pretty brutal at times so I really don't see the issue

Let me put it this way,.. unnecessary and unrealistic gore resulting from a successful challenging gameplay element would be seen as a reward / incentive... and that's kind of messed up... just like torturing kittens.

I'm all for realistic physical damage such as enlarged bullet exit-wounds or amputation by explosive, but gore for the sake of player incentive is never a great justification.

Except.... that is pretty realistic... If you get shot in the head with a 7.62 would take a pretty big chunk of your head off... imagine a headshot with a .50 cal

you would be surprised, a 7.62 will create a wider exit wound due to tumbling, but the point of impact will still have a similar circumference as the round

.50 cal will carve up anything.

Yeah I'm only going for the realism. I'm not for unnecessary gore. I think adding some real bullet ballistic damage would be cool from an immersion standpoint. I'm pretty sure we are at the point in CG to show more realistic gunshot wounds. It's pretty arcade like the way it is now. Like showing more of a blowout from behind the head instead of in front. Have the bullet wound stay on the enemy without the body dissapearing after 3 seconds. To me it just seems like common sense. It's a violent game. Go big or go home.

It's been done, several times in video games -- Soldier of Fortune, Sniper Elite series, and I could name a couple of others. I don't think Wildlands needs it, perhaps a bullet decal or something like that ... but since the bodies vanish quicker than smoke, it's a moot point.

Wow! Just watched a utube video on the sniper elite game. That's pretty graphic! Shows the internal anatomy of the body and what the bullet does to the insides. That's a little extreme for wildlands but they can improve on the kills a lot. Also the knive take town in sniper elite is way better than anything you can do in wildlands. I think I will cancel preorder and get sniper elite instead. Not this kittylands game Ubisoft scrapped together

Soldier of Fortune set the bar pretty high years ago. Honestly though, there's room in the wolf's den for all kinds of games with various levels of realism. Not every game has to be hyper-realistic. Wildlands is a different take on the genre, and I'd like my Australian friends to be able to play it
