I wonder how the conversation went when the boss at Ubisoft said, OK tomorrow is the day we told everyone Alaska will be available, and then the Devs said, Uh Boss, actually we didn't complete our job when we said we would, can you tell everyone we need 2 more weeks.

    What a Joke !!!

Disappointed in this, especially announcing the delay a few hours before release, it doesn't reflect well on the developers at all. Surely if the DLC needs as much as an extra 2 weeks work on it then they would have known it a week ago when they released the teaser trailer and announced the date, a very unprofessional way to go about their business.

I'm actually okay with the delay as long as it brings several updates that are needed along with it. Mainly the scoring system being revamped to be solely based on the trick/combo/height being performed (tricks & height already in game, shouldn't be that difficult to apply point values) as well as diminishing returns to prevent spamming tricks or another fair system that makes people want to compete in actual events. Another change I would like to see is grouping made easier to promote an actual community. If changes that improve this game aren't made and it's just Alaska on it's own I will most likely trade this game in. I hate to say that because I love the game but exploring only goes so far. I want to compete in fair competitions.

The fake scoring system is here to stay.

Ubisoft came out with a statement saying, "Technically we don't see anything wrong with using a certain technique to achieve higher scores".

It's false bro, they have say its not "cheating" to do this, but i'm sure this is not like this they want the best score beiing done.. (i really hope..)

So, i hold my hope that they will rework the scoring system to counter those "exploits"

After that yes saying the report of the alaska one day before its release is a bad move, but it's for good reasons... So..

It was the same conversation when they talked about the walking on ice it went something like this.

"Do we make an animation for walking on the decks and ice areas or do you think they'll notice?' he says to his fellow dev.
He scratches his head "ah **** it."

up to know its a new practice for Ubisoft to lie to its clients who preorder the games hoping that we get what we want and we dont get it at all

    which total sucks
and there new practice now is online only games

sales for this will be low for a longtime unless they start to release updates so people can reset there profiles and also play offline

the sales are not that to great at all for steep

I'm pretty sure once Alaska is released there will be an increase in sales.

Sounds like they are going to add something called "Branded Challenges", does anyone know what that means? I'm very curious since the current type of Challenges have been corrupted.

They are going to do a complete overview of the Alaska Mountain on February 15th, I'm looking forward for more info on what to expect.

I'm willing to forgive them once for a mistake like this. It could have been misscommunication. Buy if it happens again I will be very disappointed
