Someone else with the same problem but it was resolved ?
Got this issue when trying to sprint w a XBOX360 controller on PC.
Have an idea, not sure it is a solution but might be.
In Windows, repeatedly press SHIFT and you will hear a *bleep* and a window will show up, select settings and remove the option where this happens when pressed shift (sprint is shift so probably why it activates?).
I did this and are about to test if it did any difference.
*edit* was not the solution =/
** SOLUTION**
This is a STEAM issue. It is STEAM that activates the keyboard for the Big Picture thingy.
Will see if I can get it removed in some way other than closing down STEAM.
Go into Big Picture in STEAM, select CONFIG and edit the DESKTOP CONTROLLER options. Left stick PUSH is set to keyboard. Change this to SHIFT.
Hi..I have a friend suffering from the same issue using XBOX ONE controller, could you please detail the steps you took to end the issue?, does launching steam games from another client solve the issue?, and do you need to keep steam open as long as you play a steam game that you launched through another client?
Hey HattyCurll, can you confirm that the issue your friend is experiencing is that the on-screen keyboard is opening in the Steam version of For Honor? Has your friend attempted to re-bind the big picture mode settings for Steam per the instructions of bN.paintner earlier in the thread, if they do have big picture mode enabled? If so, and the issue persists, could a short video or screenshots of the issue be provided please?Originally Posted by HattyCurll Go to original post
Additionally, please be advised that any Steam-owned titles will require that both Steam and Uplay PC are logged in to be able to run the game. Regardless of whether you click "play" from Uplay PC, as the game is owned via Steam, Steam will launch and the game will open from there. I hope that this helps.
