    For Honor doesn't start

for some reason, all that happens is i get a black window when i try starting the game, which closes after a second and i then get the Uplay info that the game crashed.
i tried any possible solution i could find on forums, etc. including uninstall/install different and up to date graphics drivers (nvidia gtx970), tried different starting options like -windowed, -fullscreen, even different dxlevels (dont know if that even works at all)
propably the only thing i didnt try is reinstall my OS, which i am not going to do tho ^^
so far its quite disapointing... any ideas or thoughts to it?
    cheers!

I suffer from a very similar problem

Everytime i try to launch the Game, no matter wether from steam or uplay after getting a windowed screen for a while i get "oh no, it crashed" - send report message.
After some research it seems its a common problem with uPlay games.
I tried all the fixes i could find, down to messing with the .ini file but nothing helped.

Uplay tends to recognize my intel graphics card instead of the nvidia one, so i suspect thats the problem. Turning off the integrated Card alltogether didnt help either though.

I am very greatful for any tipps or tricks.

    For clarification: i tried:
    - Updated all drivers and all windows service packs
    - Turned Workstation to automated considering the smb-protocol problem
    - Run as administrator
    - Run in various compatibility modes
    - Reinstalled in steam and uplay

I had the same problem after i changed the game to fullscreen and exited
it. Maybe its just a coincidence but after I restarted my pc the game changed to
windowed mode and after I started it, it worked. Hope it helps, if you didn't try it already.
