I am playing on PS4 with no issues, and usually purchase games for both PC and PS4 (like Overwatch) so I can play on either depending on my mood. However, many of my PC friends are having tons of issues with uPlay and just the game itself. Could this be because Ubi contracted out the PC version of the game to Blue Byte in Germany (a company they acquired but who has no really popular games under their belt, I think)? Maybe the PC version of the game is just somehow different from the console version since it was 'ported' to PC and developed by a different company (though still part of the Ubisoft group).? Just a thought // as of now I will probably hold off on the PC purchase but already pre-ordered the Gold edition for PS4.
If these issues you're talking about are the fact they can't connect to the servers, I doubt Bluebyte is responsible. Ubisoft call the shots on servers capacity.
Console users seem to have no issues, well do the math. PC users were not allowed the server capacity console users were.
That's clearly an indicator of the PC treatment to come. We'll see how many pre purchase on Steam will be refund, should be interesting.
But honestly at that point developers who have no regards for a part of their user base should just stop developing for that user base.
