I can't say anything about the Nacon, but if you are in the market for a good controller to play For Honor with, I can confirm compatibility for both the XB1 Elite controller and the Razer Raiju. Not trying to sell stuff on here (I returned both controllers and reverted to my trusty DS4).
XB1 Elite has divine craftsmanship and haptics, even tho the extra buttons are awkward and too easy to press, didn't feel natural for me to hold.
The Raiju has a god awful D-Pad, perfectly placed extra buttons for my hands, natural feel while holding it, perfect customization (without extra software), but is recognized on (my) PC as an XBoX Style button layout instead of PS4 button layout (Razer support didn't respond to my ticket regarding this for 4 days straight, which was enough for me to refund that one too).
I know this might not be that helpful regarding your Nacon issue, but just in case you are thinking to move to a different controller, I thought I might leave my experience here![]()
This gamepad works on PC ! But not on For Honor... I just bought if for this game... Do you know where I could make request to ubi ?Originally Posted by Cheeky93 Go to original post
Every description or review of this controller will tell you it doesn't work on PC. It's nice if some games support it but it doesn't have an official PC support ATM. That said, you can just use an xbox360/xbox one controller emulator and it'll work like a charm, just like you can do with any other controller.
I use it on PS4, had this controller a little bit before I even got For Honor.
It is by far the greatest video game controller I've ever used.
I just wish Nacon would update the software to where you can use remapping and macros at the same time, and add stick movement to macro creation abilities.
I know a lot of people would say, that's just lazy scrub talk, wanting to pull off your movesets with the push of one button...
but my God it would be awesome, I'm drooling for it.
Wish the stick came with adjustable height options, I'd prefer them a bit shorter like the Dual Shock 4.
And screw on caps too that you could choose between the round top or concave.
I hate the concave left stick, really a pain for running in FH.
But those are very really small downsides to an amazing controller.
Hope you got it to work on your PC man.
Oh and for any who use this controller, I'll share my button remapping for you, maybe give you some good ideas you might like.
So first of all, I prefer to change my player lock setting in FH to toggle rather than hold, and I reassigned this to the inner left handle button.
(L2 on Ps4)
Then my inner right handle button is R3 (Punching the R-Stick on PS4)
So I can just tap that to switch my lock from enemy to enemy.
This can be very interesting when outnumbered.
I can pull spinning light attacks while changing targets rapidly for some spray and pray hilarity.
So now that L2 is free, I just put the L1 quick chat there.
I found it more comfortable in unison with R2 for quick chat options.
I also double assigned my light attack.
The original R1 for normal use.
And L3 (Punching the L-Stick) for Zone attacks with R2.
I find it more of a natural feeling using both hands than having to push two buttons on the top right side of the controller.
And L3 is reassigned to R3, so I don't have to punch the same stick I use to move to sprint.
I push up on the L-Stick and punch the right stick to sprint, which is a ton nicer than using the same stick.
I don't use the upper back buttons, just the inner handle ones, very comfortable.
And that's it.
Just a handful of simple tweaks that make the control scheme a ton more comfortable to me.
In the software I also set the right stick dead zone to 1, and have my FH guard dead zone to 1 as well for obvious reasons.
And the stick sensitivity set to high.
The R-Stick response curve I set from small to big like this... 50, 49, 1.
I don't really know what would be ideal here.
But that's my Nacon.
