I don't use Avast either. I tried both adding the game to my AV exclusions and turning off my AV completely whilst running the game, but neither helped the problem. Plus I didn't have the problem in alpha or during tech tests, and I was running the same AV program back then too.

I submitted a ticket to the customer support and I tried to provide all info I add including DxDiag and msinfo32.

I'll give them 1 week to at least reply and if not, I'll reclaim sadly.

If I have any news, I'll keep this updated.

I have a problem of memory leak and I will try to explain what happen and what I did to try to fix. If there is anything I can add to help you investigate, please let me know and I will try to give you as much detail as I can. Sorry if explanation are not good, I'm not good with a computer.

Games uses around 1.8 Gb RAM memory when everything is fine.

After 5 - 6 min, the memory start to raise and raise until the PC crash or until I kill the process (if I see it in time).

I noticed that if I quit the game using the menu, the process is not killed when I do that after the memory start to raise abnormally but is killed if I quit before the memory start to raise.

I tried :
- to verify the file using Uplay
- to stop windows defender (name is probably not exact as I'm using french windows sorry). I don't have any other antivirus like avast.
- to change all settings to the minimum possible
- to kill all application running and launch just the game
- to updated my Graphic Card (which is a Nvidia Geforce GTX 860M) with the latest driver which is 378.66
- to open Nvidia app to ensure game running on my Graphic card
- to launch applications (Uplay and For honor) "as administrator"
- to reinstall the game
- to delete data in the my documents folder (legacygamepads_user.ini and options.ini)

nothing fixes the problem.

Please let me know what I should do. I'm looking forward to your support.

Good luck Xsicopate - I've been waiting for them to reply to a similar support ticket for weeks and weeks. They just keep sending me irrelevant pre-written messages and try to close the ticket.

I have the same problem. Had memory leaks during the Last day of both betas (don't know why only on the Last day, while it ran smoothly all the others). I thought they fixed it for the full game, and instead i get memory leaks again. I don't have avast, tried lowering everything to low, to disable Windows defender anyway, to verify the files from uplay, to disable the uplay overlay, but nothing works. I sent a ticket to the support which will not get an answer, wrote on the official Facebook Page without getting an answer as well. Do we have to give up and wait for a Patch that will never come or, if it comes, that will solve nothing or make things even worse? Too bad i bought the game on gamesplanet, now i Can't refund it

Just wanted to bump this an say it's still happening. I've tried disabling the uplay overlay, tried disabling my antivirus, tried a clean boot, it's still happening.

Game froze multiple times in campaign missions (specifically Up the beach, 2.4) and in multiplayer a few times. It's completely unreasonable that this is happening, the game should not be outright freezing due to out of memory on a system with 16gb of ram when the game is actually only using 2.2gb.

you're absolutely right, it shouldn't do this stuff even on lower specs. but it's ubisoft we are talkng about, the guys that release the game first, and then work on making sure it works fine. and we aren't even sure about that part. and the worst part is that we are the idiots still buying their games after they disrespect us by selling us half finished games

Same problem here. I even reformatted my entire computer thinking that would fix it. Nope. My audio starts to crackle and then significant fps drop. Great. No antivirus running and the old fix that worked in open beta of deleting the folder in My Documents doesn't work anymore either. Great optimization.

guys i really don't know what to say. a friend gave me the advice of trying to install the game on my ssd (i previously installed it on my hard drive). so i unistalled the game and then uplay, installed them both on my ssd and now it works normally. some random, minor fps drops, but other than that it runs fine with no problems. ram usage around 20/22%. didn't try multiplayer cause i didn't want to risk getting kicked or having to leave a game, don't like doing that. i really don't know what happened, i just hope the game stays as it is and doesn't go crazy again.
