when it comes to communication and being spoiled by Massive, I think that would only apply if the communication actually tell's you something or results in a better end result. After all TD has suffered a huge player base drop since release, so was that communication of any use to the resultant quality of the game?Originally Posted by Wastedyuthe Go to original post
Well but they at least talk to the community. Which I think is great. They have streams almost daily where you can ask questions, they are active on reddit and the forums and they have a weekly state of the game, which also tells you a lot about what's going on. Anything is better than what Ubisoft is doing with Ghost Recon right now. Even if it's just a "hey guys, yes we heard your concerns regarding helo controls, and they are being fixed." or "Yes the AI behavior is not optimal, we are trying to improve on that". But the silence just tells me, that there will be no change between now and release, which in return leads me to not buying the game.Originally Posted by fixer7267 Go to original post
Seems to me that a Beta one month prior to full release is hardly to see the response of the community but rather free advertising by all those who upload on YT and at best to help locate bugs.
What we saw in the beta is what we'll get, another "tactical shooter" missing the mark. Instead of evolving the old-school tactical shooters they degenerated them selves to become just another shallow, casual, hand-holding, generic shooter.
Ten years ago I had high hopes for Ghost Recon, Swat, Rainbow six and splinter cell, but somehow they all managed to merge with the "streamlined" "accessible" shallow garbage that saturate the market today.
Tactical by association, and pretty much nothing else.
Sigh

I think anyone freaking out about lack of communication needs to just take a step back and look at the big picture.
This beta has probably generated THOUSANDS of bug reports and suggestions for improvements. It's only been 4 days since the Beta closed.
If I were to guess, it will take some time to sift through everything figuring out what they need to fix. Then they need to figure out what can be done before release, and what probably wont be addressed until a later patch.
Right now, I wouldnt jump to any conclusions about final product, because there is still at least 1 more beta test before release.
