And so I want to do that. I've been playing this game for a few months now, up to the Riptide but have stopped upgrading it as I find it easier to GRIND coins in the bunker, and less choices of bikes means I have more of an advantage as my average bike should be more heavily upgraded than those who have the same bikes as me. This is just one issue but I'll bring that up again later. The game is very fun for a mobile system game, but like I said it has its issues which could be fixed easily. I have spent $20 (I think) on a coin pack solely just to finish up my armadillo (for the outfit) and I heard it removes ad's when you spend money. It does, which is another issue I'd like to bring up. That's my background on the game, 61k rank on the global (without most the extra maps, another issue) and I'd say I'm pretty well above average in terms of average trials skill (frontier and fusion).
So anyway, here is all the issues I have with this game, and I'll try to break each one up into separate parts.
I'll start with recent issues, the KTM bike. I missed it by 5 parts, and this is my first time playing a ktm event. ????????? Do I just get screwed over a very integral and large portion of the game? How is that fair? Ubisoft why do you disrespect your community so much.
A simple but very annoying technical bug, about half the time I check on the slot machine, it resets the time on me. I get a notification on my phone after an hour and thirty minutes telling me the slot machine is ready, I open it and go to the slot machine, but it resets at 90 minutes however only requires 1 gem to speed up. If you're going to make me grind so ****ing hard for coins to upgrade my bike at least don't **** this up on me half the times I try to slot machine.
Only a slight hindrance in the bunker, when I have 3-4 showdowns complete, I check the results of the first one, fine, get back to the main bunker screen to finish the next showdown, and it shows a loading circle for about 1-2 minutes before showing the victory screen. You have to close the previous victory screen and wait on the main screen for that time for it not to happen. What is so wrong with the servers that you can't even parse some info you already have stored?
Login issues, come on, it's been three years and you really can't leave the game running in the background without your entire connection to the game server being ****ed? Restarting the game all the time is getting old.
Three years and we still don't have all the maps, people who start late can NEVER compete on the leader board, ubisoft why do you hate your community?
Very personal, but the watchers might be the worse stage of any platformer game I have EVER played. Holy ****ing ****, what were you thinking level designers? Just had to get that out there.
And above all...
This game is almost THREE years old. How many people do you think have quit because the overall grind is just obnoxious? Don't you think you'd increase the overall playerbase (and more money) by not requiring WEEKS to upgrade your bike? No one wants to do this and no one wants to spend hundreds of dollars on this, $50 for every bike and every upgrade for this three year ****ing old game would sound perfectly reasonable but holy ****.
Most of these issues I believe could be very simple fixes. I would really appreciate an honest answer to these questions. What is so wrong with allowing people to buy the KTM bike with in game and real currency? Where are the server fixes, aren't you afraid of a declining fan base? What's wrong with releases maps you literally CANNOT ACQUIRE any more? **** The Watchers...
And what is so ****ing wrong with making the grind a LITTLE easier? Games are suppose to be fun, waiting a week to upgrade a bike is NOT FUN, even longer when you account for how much coins you have to grind, and all the server issues that makes coin grinding even harder.
Ubisoft, I love trials, I will keep playing it, mostly fusion but frontier is sometimes the only thing I have in class and such, and it just could be so much better, it hurts to see.
A lot of good points, I'm 100% behind this.
What I'm also missing is the communication between "us" and "them".
I had to start coming to the forums to get info about bugs and glitches, and only several days if not weeks those issues are addressed in-game.
When a problem becomes known on the forum, it shouldn't take that long before someone of the devs could post info about it in-game, assuring us they're on it.
Yeah it's funny they put that there because there is almost never any developer interaction with the players here. We all ask things and a community manager "relays" info to the devs.
Long story short the game gets more broken every update and almost nothing seems to ever get really fixed properly.
This game isn't supposed to be fair anyway.Originally Posted by caneu Go to original post
You seem to like Trials, my advice would be to get a Xbox 360 (it's cheap now), get Trials HD and Evo. At least you'll enjoy Trials without all the incoveniences you're describing.

Always been a fun game when not broken, but we all have our pet peeves about the game. For me, I learned through the years to not expect accurate leaderboard scoring ever. Not just in the area of LB hacker prevention/removal (which is weak at best) .... our calls for LB recalculation to properly adjust for the many LB scoring issues over the years have gone unheard since the beginning. Ergo, zero leaderboard integrity, even once you have all the tracks.
And dont get me started on all the Login issues we now have since they upgraded their uplay interface.
Around 2-3 million on each platform. RL knows this, and expects significant player attrition. How many people do you think have quit because the overall grind is just obnoxious?
Easy to see the massive drop in game interest by comparing the total number of people who played on track LBs. On IOS:
Early Tier1 track "The Cave": 3785927
First Tier2 track "Pipe Basin": 2216257 (lost 1.5 million due to lack of interest)
First Tier3 track "Crane Yard": 369752 (lost almost 2 million in tier2 tracks, when the grind really starts to show).
Last Tier3 storyline track "The Grindhouse": 87911
So less than 100K actually finished the story, over almost 3 YEARS.
And for the various grindfests built into the game:
Late ANBA track "Toad Hole": 83538
Last Slot Machine track "Trash Tops": 30743
Last Bunker track "Traction Testground": 3243 (the dedicated "core" players)
And..in regards to blueprint griding.... players on the Donkey/Crazy LBs on the easiest track there is:
Crazy on "The Cave": 137320 (280190 on crazy global LB)
Donkey on "The Cave": 18884 (927696 on donkey global LB)
(wow that donkey track LB number is soooo low when compared to number who have run donkey!)
All that after starting with 3.78 million...
Ah so, ubisoft doesn't care about us at all. Just like when releasing blood dragon with NO information about the game before release, and releasing the game on hype alone hoping people will rashly pay $15 for a broken incomplete and terribly designed game.
I would have chimed in here and said don't waste your time. I was very confused when I saw that message in the game.Originally Posted by caneu Go to original post
You will get a chance to buy the KTM blueprints for gems. It won't be immediately, but probably a month or so after the KTM event finished they'll let you get the ones you missed. At least, this was the case with the original KTM bike - I don't see why they would deviate for this one.
I hear you on the long loading time to when waiting to see what your second bunker results are. It's like they only designed the system to pre-cache one bunker result, and any following results need a full minute to be loaded from the server. Also, the login issues - it's an incredibly annoying "feature"... and it's driving me crazy. I think I've had to log on to Ubisoft more in the last two months than I've had to in the two years prior to that. They know, and have admitted that it's a problem, but apparently are in no rush to fix it.
You don't like The Watchers track? I take offense to that, sir! I really like some of the timesavers in this track - if you want a good tutorial for it I recommend Carterclem's youtube tutorial - I had the hardest time getting the first timesaver without hitting my head inside the cave until I saw his tactic for getting through.
I like the watchers. Good timesavers if you can get them.
