Okay so I bought For Honor on Steam but I have the open beta downloaded on Uplay. How do I get Steam to locate the game so I don't have to download it all over again on Steam

I have a question about that too. Say you participated in the Closed Beta(I did) and I wanted to actually buy the game on Steam or play the Open Beta on steam. Would my account be able to transfer over? Like, I know you get stuff for participating in the first Season of conquer mode or whatever. would I miss out on that if i bought it on Steam after playing/participating on the Uplay?

As far as I know, You'll have to download the game after release again, regardless of having beta installed.

You won't miss anything if You bought game on steam.
