Looking For Moderately Skilled Viking Players | Forums

PC Players,

Are you a die-hard Viking with a decent understanding of the game and an average skill level? Do you feel that Dungeons & Dragons tin men and fancy not-as-cool-as-ninjas shogunites pale in comparison to the raw power and devastation of hulking muscles, battleaxes, and beards that stretch as far as the Níðhöggr? Perfect...

The open beta starts in just two days, and I have decided to start up a discord channel that I will use to create a community of decent VIKING players to team together with. During the closed beta, most of the matches that I lost were often the result of incredibly bad players almost purposefully blowing off main objectives, playing very poorly, or just ignoring teammate requests and calls for aid entirely. I am not looking to create an overly competitive group, but I am searching for semi-decent players that will be tested in a couple 1v1 duels; and further evaluated in dominion matches. If you have display an adequate skill level and a fair ability to work together with your team, then you're good to go and are entirely welcome to stick around with the community and communicate with other players to group together with.

The Rules:
-Be respectful
-Be Viking (literally, this is the main goal of this group; it consists of purely Viking heroes affiliated with the Viking faction who want to play with other Vikings)
-Be well practiced

*Just as a disclaimer, after receiving feedback from others I by no means intend to try and arbitrarily restrict players from other factions should they choose to join. I just emphasize the Vikings as they are my preferred faction, and I am interested in the role-play aspect of running full-viking teams for the most part. But this does not mean that you aren't able to use the community for other groupings as well.

While I am not a Viking, I very much hope you find the players you are looking for. I have been looking to do the same thing with Knights. It's a shame there is no faction mode to facilitate this kind of play and we are left to our own devices.

I actually thought "moderately skilled" sounded the exact opposite of elitism when I wrote it out. As I stated I am simply looking for players who are interested in the role-playing aspect of playing strictly the Vikings (in team matches) who are, again, "moderately skilled". By that I mean to insinuate that you are the type of player who reacts and responds to situations that require teamwork as opposed to just ignoring everything else around you, and that you have at least some experience from any of the betas.

Sure, no argument here. But that is exactly why I am hoping to locate a group of players that are interested in both working as a team towards victory, and more importantly are die-hard Vikings

Man, if it wasn't for the "only play viking heroes" part I'd totally be down. I love vikings, and I'll be in that faction (EDIT: and play mostly viking heroes), but I also like playing the conqueror and lawbringer, and sometimes the warden, so that's a no-go :/

I'm with Per_Ole over there. I side with the vikings, but the sad truth is that none of the viking heroes match my playstyle, so I main Conq with a sub Kensei. I'd like to join anyway, and I guess I can play a decent Raider, but nothing fancy.

Unfortunately, I'm on Xbox One. So discord won't really work for anyone teaming with me. However, I was almost 2nd prestige Berserker last beta and have a pretty damn good idea of how to play.
Hopefully you find more PC players, I'm just posting up for any Xbox players who want to find me. Same goal, different platforms. Good luck!
