I'd like to see in Year 2 content, pink slips for everyone at Massive so they can people with a clue and experience to go on. That is unrealistic, so I would like ACTUALLY DLCs, not expensive stupid game modes that should've been in the game for all from the start. Actually bloody expansions, crappy Incursions aren't expansions due to their itty bitty size in my books. But that is unrealistic to want as well. So a Year 2 season pass for more garbage will do I guess.
Because the definition of insanity is NOT repeating the same process over and over expecting a different outcome, nope it's really not.Originally Posted by xWTOx SkiLLz Go to original post
Man if you give these people pink slips they are probably going to run around the dz in nothing but that pink slip. No thank you.Originally Posted by Twigs_Dee Go to original post
Really??? Then why are you still here mate??Originally Posted by xWTOx SkiLLz Go to original post
After all the time invested by Massive and all of their record breaking sales, do you really think Massive is going to allow that happen? More importantly, do you think Ubi will allow them to just forget about it?
Give yourself a shake man…
I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time spent on TD and really can’t wait to see what year 2 brings! If a year 2 SP was offered now, I wouldn’t hesitate mate.
Probably not noted in the best way but I actually agree with xWTOx SkiLLz. No denying we all love this game and have got many hours of enjoyment out of it BUT lets look where we are in patch 1.6 and nearly 1 year on.
Content 1-30 exceptional story-line with a DZ that was ok
Patches 1.1 through to 1.3 awful, limited content that had no longevity. If you look at underground and the actual assets they use there's no more than 10 different rooms
It then brought in the god patch 1.4, order was restored, the game felt good again, loot rained from the skies, they brought in survival which got positive feedback but again Massive failed, why? Because it now about route learning and speed running, a lack of randomised loot allocation means every game for the experienced is predictable, in other words once again they took the easy route. Patch 1.5 signalled a decline and 1.6 looks like at this early stage, and I know it's a PTS and can all change, TTK and TTBK are both heading back in the direction of 1.3.
So my question is post release what has Massive actually nailed, sure they had a great story line, a truly exceptional, beautifully detailed game world, but 1 year on nearly and we have DPS builds and nothing else, facetanking gameplay with people playing like CoD instead of the tactical cover shooter it was intended to be, Massive bringing in new gearsets you know are broken (Seekr). An empty and dead feeling LZ,a benny hill chicken chase of a DZ gunfights with hackers and exploiters freely running around thinking they are number one.
The fundamental basic mechanics of the game are broken, it's not going to be fixed until they do the following;
1. Implement server side only data handling, removing trusted client model.
2. Balance out the gear sets ensuring DPS, Toughness, and Skill do not overlap (no more Seeker mine meta with low skill power).
3. Open up game modes to all players and not just season pass holders
4. Provide proper expansions that cater for PvP AND PvE
5. Provide rewards for those who choose to help in the DZ as opposed to gank
6. Stop checkpoint camping
7. Add some proper content for season pass holders (too late for year 1 where got completely screwed...)
8. Implement a proper PvP arena with no NPCs
9. Devise a system where PvE and PvP builds have separate values, no more trying to tweak GS to fit both styles of gameplay.
10. Add proper content where there is true replayability.
All this is just my opinion and I'm not saying it's right or wrong.
Hopefully soon after the new patch hits, can't wait to see what's up in year 2. Also I hope it's a season pass, that's if they don't mess it up and all we PVE players leave with what they are planning to do with skill power!!Originally Posted by medicnick83 Go to original post
Im here because the division has some good forums. Its funny to see people trying to defend a bad game.Originally Posted by Raj_Carrick Go to original post
Also Division may have broke records because everyone was excited for the game we were advertised but then when we finally got our hands on it nothing played out like it was supposed to. This game broke many records another was this was like the only game to lose 80% of its playerbase in like 2 months so theres that one.
Only reason people were excited for this game was because most of us were told this would be like a survival type of game you know much like we were advertised. But then when we played it we were just given an endless repetitive grind fest with no real goal in the end.
Massives idea of end game is to nerf all your hard work every 3 months just to make you regrind the same exact gear again.
Believe me these forums are way more enjoyable then the actual game its self but i'll be gone when Mass Effect and all that drops
