Post ITT every time a lag spike ruins a great survival run

I live in downtown Toronto, very close to many of the largest datacentres in Canada. Canada is where Ubisoft is based. In fact, there is a large Ubisoft office here in Toronto.

I have an Intel 5930k X99 processor. It wasn't cheap! Neither were the two 980 TIs.

I have a 100 megabit cable Internet connection, with zero downtime. Because I live in such a central, connected location, my ping times for basically every kind of connection are in the teens or below.

At its peak, the Division had 113,877 people playing on Steam - a rough gauge of popularity. As of right now, 4,260 people are logged on - roughly 1/28 of the peak player count.

So, my question: HOW CAN THERE POSSIBLY BE LAG?

How can I lose the second survival run in a day to Ubisoft's terrible servers? Letting me join the game in progress doesn't help - there are so many roving mobs (and the UTTERLY USELESS LAWYER BS when launching) that you're dead before you re-log. I mean, a smart designer would know this and figure out some sort of resurrect functionality for players who get disconnected. If only there was some sort of multinational game corporation to figure something like that out! Too bad this glorified marketing machine with a game development studio grafted on can't get their act together.

But hey, get hyped for 1.6!

This is where i say something like 'get better internet dude!" or "working as intended" or some other BS reply.

Truth is, you're dealing with factors out with your control, and not affected by how good your internet actually is. Think those of us that have stuck with survival have all experienced what you mention (my worst, getting dis-connected in a building and when re-connected i've died outside from the cold..........say WHAT!). (should also mention i only play on console, so it's not platform related)

Since the servers came back up last thursday, playing with full servers is very rare and seems like getting Massive to comment, let alone deal with the issue, is almost impossible. Even with streamers showing games where this is a factor might have spurred the devs on to deal with the problem (or at least pretend they care), but seems like they are only focused about PTS/1.6 and survival can be forgotten about.
