    Bullet velocity issue

    Mind blown!
How is it that none of you people have pointed out that the bullet speed is just ridiculously slow. And the there should not be a noticable bullet drop at 100 to 200 yards ever. I should never see my bullet travel to its Target a football fields length away. But I guess I'm the only one who noticed that these bullets look like an arrow flying through the air.

I believe that's been said a few times to be honest...not sure it's gonna change between now and release, but I agree with you. Bullet drop on a 5.56 round at 100 yards should be minimal (-2 inches or so I believe)

It was my understanding that the bullet velocity was based on real life/real time mechanics.

Most people don't know how guns works anyway. Also most games give wrong impression about thinks like guns, physics etc.
I can agree with you about ridiculous bullet drop in GR:W. I think they base on Battlefield in that aspect.
In most games it's how it is because of limited (compensate) map size. It's sad that UBI brag about large map yet they ****ed up bullet physic.
I know only one game that have bullet velocity based on real values and it's Arma series.

About seeing bullet travel I can half-agree, you can't see bullet but if use tracers it's possible to see it's path.

I love ArmA - just don't have the time for that game, it took all my spare gaming time, and there's too many games out there I like playing =]

Yes, but mostly not every round in any mag will have tracers. Usually it's 1 tracer for every 4 or 5 ball rounds, and maybe 3 or 4 tracers at the bottom for a warning to the shooter the mag is almost out. I mean, you might use a full mag of tracers if you're trying to mark something or warn civilians (I've heard of people doing that), but I personally never did that lol...

Well, GR:W is not ArmA so I wouldn't expect realistic physics

    Well then

I think the OP cares, and I've seen a few posts regarding the physics of GR:W, so some people do care........I personally don't really care, I'm not looking for a super-realistic shooter lol

I think it has been over exaggerated. It's cool at first and I was glad to see that equipping a suppressor changes the speed (on the "magic" assumption you switch to subsonic ammo at he same time). However, it is too much at the 70m or so range against a running target and feels like paintball.

Imo a slight increase in bullet velocity with an accompanying slight decrease in bullet drop would go a long way toward improving the feel of most weapons (especially non-suppressed long guns).

The suppressed .45 pistol feels just right to me as is though.
