    How To Level Up Rating?

Hi everyone! I have another question I hope someone can answer for me. I have all high level gear equipped on my character and a 163 rating. Obviously I'm passed the 30 level rank but how do I level up that rating? I've been doing a lot missions and stuff that I think would help but it doesn't . Am I missing something?

    Higher world tiers

Loot will drop at a higher level the higher the world tier you are in.

Each world tier has a higher Gear Score

    Hi,

You need to change world tear. To do this you believe you need a piece of 182 gear, these will drop eventually.Once you have one, go to you map screen and there should be an option to change worlds (hold Y on Xbox).

I'm sorry! I have no idea what that is. Do I have to do certain missions to obtain these items? How do I go about obtaining them? Could you clarify please?

If you are a fresh GS163, there are a couple of ways to get your hands on higher GS stuff. You can go up to the highest tier level the game will allow you to at this point, the higher the tier the higher the drops. You can also (if you have the cash) ramp your tier level up as close to tier 5 as you can and go shopping at the vendors.

By your avatar I'd imagine you are on Xbox.

Open the map and raise the World Tier one notch. You do that by pressing Y for a few seconds, when a menu pops up. Then go farm the Light Zone bosses (here's a map) to raise your gear score.

Rinse and repeat until you hit World Tier 5, after that, just toil away at your build as you see fit. Usually, in WT5, the best farm is Lexington Event centre on Challenging as it takes no time to matchmake and should you tell your matchmaking friends you are gearing up, usually you'll get tons of loot they don't need.

Ah, got you now! I'll take a look tonight to see if I can level up my guy. This makes sense now. I knew there had to be something that I was missing on the map. Thanks for clarifying how Lepanto! Thanks for all the help!

Thanks for being so helpful everyone!

As others have explained, if you increase your world tier (you are able to do so through the mega map), you will increase the level of the entire world including the open world and missions. At world tier you will start to be rewarded with 182 Gear Score gear! Continue to do so until you get all the way up to world tier 5 and 256 gear score!

Increasing the difficulty of the mission itself, normal or hard, will increase the quantity of loot you receive. Increasing loot quality (gear score) will come with increasing your world tier!

Thanks everyone. Tried this last night and went up a couple more points. I also found tier level gloves that manage to boost my damage. Trying to help help out a friend that is a level 15. He is shooting up through the levels incredibly fast. Thanks again for your help!
